Anybody following EBR on FB? How about Badweb support for the home team? Would this be the first enthusiast supported race team? Could we make history here? http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Erik-Buell-Racing/197762537495?ref=ts |

Christine the JT&S Performance "Social Media" Gal and bookkeeper also saw the EBR Face Book post. She just called me with the idea of a Wine Tasting Fund Raiser for Friday Night. The track is just down the road from of some great small winery's. If we did and had a commitment from the EBR Gang to be there for an hour or so How many of you would buy a ticket? They get approx $15 per head for the tasting , so for a donation of $35 those who will be there to watch the team on their first outing can stop past to rub elbows with the "Boss" himself. For those who can't make it we would be happy to send you a signed souvenir ticket to the tasting. All proceeds out side the actual count who show up would go to the team. We would ask Erik to sign the other no show tickets and we would send the back out to you. It would be so cool to sell 100 or more tickets even if only 50 people showed up. E-mail us at info@jtsperformance.com and let us know if you think it would be something you would be interested in if we can get it set up. Terry www.jtsperformance.com |

I would assume this is in May? I believe that is when the Buell S2 Gathering is in Texas. I would probably not be there, but would be glad to help...rex |

EBR is looking for a sponsor for the race at Infineon and possibly more. It was suggested that Buell fans could raise enough to have a fan sponsorship. |

We could do it. 10 bucks each from 500 people would be a pretty good number to start with. I wouldn't be surprised if we could raise $10,000. What sort of number do you have in mind Erik? Would that be a decent start? |

I few years back some us of threw a dinner for Erik down in Big Sur, if you have never had a chance to listen to him or rub elbows, it's quite a treat. This is just chance to try and do that again, if the boys want to and we can find a cheep place within a few miles of the track. It's not intended to get in the way of a grass roots support effort, it's just to add to anything that gets set-up. Terry Parsley |

I'm in, Terry, let me know if I can help. That dinner in Big Sur was a lot of fun. A packed house with a lot of fellow Buellers. And a very foggy ride back to the track that night. |

My facebook comment: Would be welcome the opportunity to donate to the cause. I don't need anything in return. Forget webpages with donor listings, names on bikes, signed stickers, etc... Let's just see this effort supported. Someone set up a donation link. |

I'm all for it... but we need to make sure the cure isn't worse then the disease. If EBR can get a corporate sponsor, then its a 30 minute problem... one call, one check, one thank you, and back to kicking ass on the race bike. A grass roots movement would likely quickly turn into a full time job for somebody and that somebody would need to be already set up to deal with this kind of thing both legally and practically. So I'm not trying to throw cold water on things... just saying that if you can drum up a corporate "write one check" sponsor that's the best thing we can do at this point... and that a community supported effort would be a great long term goal but will take some planning and work up front to make sure it's not a drain on the EBR racing effort. IMHO. |

"I'm all for it... but we need to make sure the cure isn't worse then the disease." Agreed. While I'm more than happy to throw in a few $$$, in the post on facebook EBR asked if anyone knew a company who might be interested in sponsorship, so pass the word around to any firms you know, you never know who might be interested in getting some exposure |

Been away from Badweb . . I'll try to get up to speed. Where's the info? The TEAM ELVES effort went down as one of the classic, and perhaps most successful, enthusiasts efforts. |
