Here is the bike, almost ready for 2010.

Here is the faring. The clear coat is still drying.

Here is my new suit thanks to Pilot leathers.

Headed to VIR in 1 week for a 2 day shakedown before the first race weekend. I can't wait.

Very Cool Erik. Looking Good.

I love seeing Buells up at Loudon.

I'm running an EX in PTWINS and hope to get my 1125 out for a couple races this season as well.

See you at the track!

Is that an X1 with a S1 tank converted to a carb? I built a S1 with using a X1 motor and put the fuel pump in the S1 tank. Also ran the 02 sensor in an old serpentine race header and used the X1 wiring harness. The showa forks worked better than the WP's and I ran a Penski on the rear. It's great to see such a bike you've built and I can appreciate all that hard work you've done. Good luck with those belly pans, I went through so many I finally made my own using the Buell one as a mold. I have a duel rotor set up if you need it.
Cheers, Stuart

Leaving tomorrow morning. The bike is loaded in my truck along with my gear. Sunny and mid 80's is the forcast. This is going to be great.

The weather was great. A little hot, but not too bad. There seemed to be very little humidity. The event ran very smooth, I recall only 2 red flags for the whole 2 day deal.

I spend the first session on the first day just getting a feel for the bike. It did not feel right at all, it was very unstable at high speed. After the first session, I dropped the forks 1/8" in the trees, and from then on it felt much better. The rest of day one was just relearning VIR north. My breather bolts both backed out, and one of them fell off. my air cleaner was just hanging there by the other bolt, so that ended day one. I had to go find a hardware store to get some bolts that I could use and this time safety wire. About an hour and a half later I found some. I have the XB rocker boxes, so all I needed was something to block the breather holes and to bolt the carb support bracket on.

Day 2, I went out for my first session, and thought that I would just relax a bit and not push things. By the end of the first lap, I was flying. I don't know, for some reason, things just felt right, and I was out there hauling ass. Checkered flag comes, and I pit in with the biggest smile on my face. Derek Sinclair, one of the owners of Boston Moto followed me the second session to give me some advise. He said that I was carrying great corner speed and am on the gas really good and was much faster then him through the corners, but I was breaking way too early and was loosing probably about one to two seconds entering turn 1 and turn 7. I had noticed that as well. I tend to get passed on the entry of those corners but then can stick to those riders all throughout.

I tried moving up my brake markers, but ran into some situations where if felt like I was totally blowing the corner entry and had no mid corner speed, but I was sticking to the person in front of me, so I don't know. I didn't have a lap timer setup.
