I think the proper verbiage would be Honda wants to race what they sell. It doesn't take anyone long to figure out that Honda is pulling the strings in the MotoGP series. I called a friend of mine to tell him about the horsepower output of the Moto2 engines he said it sounded pathetic I would have to agree. |

Honda told all sorts of 'untruths' and tall stories in order to get the Moto2 contract. Things like 'you'll have the engines by the end of 2009' or 'the engine will be at least 150bhp' have proved to be false so far so lets hope that can actually deliver something before the season starts. The reason for the 125bhp limit is apparently because Honda kept blowing up engines with more power than that, and they want the motors to last at least 3 races between rebuilds in order to save on costs for teams. This however makes the moto2 class a bit of a mockery when top Honda Supersport engines such as Ten Kate are putting out in excess of 150bhp and are fully rebuilt every race. I now doubt if the new class will be faster than the 250 at least for the first season, and would expect times to be no faster than Supersports 600's at the same circuits. The rules still allow 250 2 strkes to compete in 2010 so if a good privateer could find a factory 'surplus' Aprilia and affod to run it he could still be in with a chance. Hopefully the class will find its feet and will get better engines for 2011, other wise the step up from Moto2 to MotoGP will be huge and the seeries will lose credibility (more than it has already). The only saving grace so far is that everyone is in the same boat and will use the same engines, so we should still get close racing. One other thing that has become apparent is that the hoped for technical leaps in chassis design won't be forthcoming in Moto for the time being at least, and that all of the bikes will be almost identikit racers sharing mostly the same frame technology. FTR did propose some radical chassis designs but were told by the teams that they wouldn't buy them (FTR say that most teams are too conservative in their approach because of commercial pressure from sponsors). |

I see another Yamaha romp this year. Stoner will be up there, but Yamaha's line up is just too damned deep. |

Ducati will be strong again this year but I wouldn't want to bet against Rossi & Yamaha for another title. I think the 'alien' top 4 could even be reduced to 3 this year (Rossi/Pedrosa/Stoner) unless Lorenzo can work out his own setup and beat Rossi at his own game. The best entertainment for fans will probably come form the race for 4th-10th positions as I can see that being a lot closer than the race for the podiums. |

What was this "flash" from Nicky Hayden in day2 at Sepang ??? Was he on Q-tires, while Stoner and the rest was on racing-tires ?? Interesting........... |

There are softer and harder tires............. In any case I am surpised and glad that Hayden got so close to the top, even if it was just a single flying lap. Or maybe he found something. So far in 2007-2008-2009, Stoner was fastest on the tests and the 2nd Ducati was 1s slower. Now Stoner is 2nd to Rossi and the 2nd Ducati is right there with Stoner. Any ideas ???...........I have one theory........... |

Ducati is using a big bang motor this year like the rest of the manufacturers , they were using a screamer motor the last 3 years in MotoGP . |

Rossi has won multiple championships aboard one. Nicky stayed consistant enough to win on one. Pedrosa has done well on one. You have no isea what you are talking about.lol And comparing them to HD is apples to oranges. |

It seems we will watch Yamaha Vs Stoner . I hope Spies will start challenging Rossi soon. Then Rossi will demand an even lesser machine for Spies. So if Spies rides a satellite bike now, Rossi will demand a 2007 M1 to be given to Spies. We will have a lot of drama in the Yamaha garages, thanks to our "beloved" italian "primadona" . Yamaha should start building thicker walls .............Rossi is in danger ....... |

Vagelis has got the most BIZARRE conception of how Yamaha works... No way in HELL is Yamaha going to provide ANY of their riders with a "lesser machine." Yamaha wants the Manufacturers title as well as the individual title; why would they sabotage that? Yamaha is also well aware that Vale is 31 years old and they need to nurture their younger riders for the eventual day that he decides to hang up his leathers, or switch to Formula 1. There is only ONE reason and one reason alone Rossi wins as often as he does: HE'S THE BEST THERE IS, PERIOD. The only advantages he has are those he's worked to perfect and those God gave him at birth. |

Spies now has to do his best with it to get results, but he has certainly been given the best tool for the job. |

Vale used to develop Honda's bikes. Look how well Honda is doing now that all of that is being done by that little Spanish midget... Honda actually didn't do too badly with Nicky doing the development work, but now that it's all on Dani's narrow little shoulders they're going BACKWARDS. |

What I find hard to believe is that Pedrosa's problems are all apparently related to the change to Ohlins suspension from Showa last year. Honda is a multi million dollar company so surely they can equip his bike with Showa and Dovi's with Ohlins if that is what it takes? De Puniet and Dovizioso don't seem to be suffering too badly for the new shocks do they? |

It is BIZZARE that Trojan and Jaimec seem to be in love with Rossi. Their love makes them blind and incapable of seeing the truth. Rossi has #1 status at Yamaha and he rides the most advanced M1. Period. Yamaha says it,but Rossi lovers cannot hear it, they are deaf. What about Burgess ??? No contribution from him to the Honda and Yamaha GP bikes ??? Tech3 has a satellite Yamaha M1 that is definately a lesser bike than Rossi's factory M1. Spies manages on his 3rd test to get 0.5s close to Rossi. This is shocking news. Qatar is a track that Spies has raced before, so he is making a big statement. It will be very soon that Rossi will start to get prssure from Spies, like he did from Lorenzo. Then he will start his usual "bitching". But this time his opponent does not share the same garage, so building a wall is not an option to slow Spies down. So he will start demanding for new parts from Yamaha, more power, etc Yamaha should get rid of Rossi and his big salary-walls-theatrics, so that Rossi can get Marlboro's money from Ducati. Spies in factory Yamaha next year, he seems to deserve it. |

No, Matt and I are not "in love" with Rossi. You, sir, have an unexplainable, pathological hatred of the man that defies all logic. Did he cut ahead of you on line and get that last candy bar you had your eye on or something???? |

you guys are forgetting Lorenzo just came back from a surgery so he is not 100%. its good for spies to get a 3rd but he should not think he is at th level of Rossi. Rossi and stoner are toying and playing mind games. Stoner will take qatar like he always does. but sudenly Rossi thinks he has a shot, lol I love the technical and mind games these guys play. |

You called it Bill. BREAKING NEWS FROM MOTO GP~~ Casey Stoner was fastest in the final pre season test session. Due to the fact the Brain Dead Bill on BadWeb called this, the 2010 moto gp season has been canceled, and the title will be sent to Mr. Stoner. We hope everyone understands why this was done. We'll see you all next year for pre season testing, where Brain Dead Bill will again select the moto gp champion! |
