That was foolish. I haven't read Cyclenews since the 60's when it really was the reporter for AMA grand national news. I'm just not in to super cross, dome cross, which Cyclenews seems to make its living on now. So, you never told us about what turned you on so much. You going to keep it a secret?

It's a good article by Alan Cathcart track testing Danny Eslick's 1125R, just before he highsided the 1125RR and ended up in Alabama's finest hospital!

wait a minute, Duggram - I was the one reporting the AMA Nat'ls for Cycle News [East] from 1967-1970 while an undergrad @ Univ. of Cincinnati

then-editor Paul Cosner & pre-AMA Ed Youngblood offered me the top job in mid-'70 - since their offer was only 50% of GE's [no benefits, either], I declined & was soon moved out to CA by GE

I'm still here in the sun & sea spray - no regrets

FirstB, those were good days. I was a district 36 amateur riding a '67 Pursang in all the races from Lodi, Hayward, Hollister, Fremont (my hometown at the time) and Fresno. I remember Mark Brelsford's last race at Fremont as an amateur, he passed me like I was nothing and he was on a 200 Sherpa from Sonny Kenyon's. Sweet memories. Years later, about '76, I bought an Astro in Anchorage to race on the indoors dried out hockey rink track they had for winter racing. We were in Green's shop when I took delivery and Mark was there when I picked up the bike. We talked long about racing sportsmen in northern cali in the 60's. Those were good old days.

RE: C N - oh, I think it's even better than when we were more directly involved -
the online subscription option is very handy

I suspect few folks here know who Mark Brelsford 'was' [M/C racing-wise] -
there's a lot more to MB's story than his infamous Daytona fireball......

You mean the fireball that ended his career? Life sucks....
