In preparation for the 8 hours of Daytona MotoGT race, #70 James Gang Buell ran 3rd fastest in qualifying this evening with a 1:54.142. Second fastest was #18 RoadRacingWorld Suzuki with a 1:53.990, and first was #13 Westby Racing Yamaha with a 1:53.368. Go JAMES GANG/HOBAN BROTHERS!!! |

Go guys! It'll be tough though because quite a few teams show up just for this event with top AMA pro riders because the pro season is over. But James Gang knows how to pace themselves, do pit stops and all the other specialties of endurance racing. |

8 hours is painfully long. They've certainly gotten ready. We'll be watching Twitter and cheering. |

(and I might add getting inspired... some of us little guys are racing on Sunday but dang, Sunny and I came close to cancelling Willow this weekend to be at Daytona after getting "the word" yesterday morning like everybody else) KICK ASS James Gang. Winning couldn't happen to a better group of guys or on a better machine. (well, except maybe Liberty Waves 1125R - sponsored by Antelope Valley and Dairyland) Gotta pull for the other guys too! |

From their Twitter page, they had to swap out an engine in the middle of the race but refused to give up. Is there an allegory in there somewhere? |

There are allegorys all over Florida. Apparently people buy them as pets and when they get big they flush them and they get in the sewers. I know Paul James and no allegory is going to stop him! |

Sadly, both James Gang and Liberty Waves suffered mechanical issues during the race. Both teams had thier motors let go on them. James Gang/Hoban Brothers also had a wheel bearing go before that, and had a coolant leak afterwards. |
