Salt very slippery still, did not run yesterday at all. We had the motor out of Gregs bike and found two stretched intakes and two exhaust seats leaking all back together and will install engine this AM. We both ran sunday,I got 186 qualifier and 196 return.Greg did 205 and 202.Both good for FIM records. Both of us had terrible wheelspin, but Gregs 205 was fastest pass for several days until our friend Richard Assen went 226.I went back late in the afternoon but slowed to 187--too wet. Should be dryer today with the wind and sun.Still want to see 200! Lots of Buells here,a couple of RR's and 1125's even. |

Two of the JT&S Boys played well in the salt today. minus outerwear. Blast is finished for the season, six runs three records, one naked and two properly attired. two new top speeds, 138.828 with the bits hid and 125.5 with them showing. Jimmy's back-up was fast enough to get a new 200.5 record bare. We both go to tear down tomorrow then the records are really our. We want to thank all of you for the support. Thanks, all Buell's did well all week. Dan from NRHS, got his 500 cc Blast in the book as well as the fastest time by a American V twin As usual the old pros, the Buell Brothers ran two for three. In the push rod classes Buell's were the bike to beat with some very stock 1000cc production XB9's running in the mid to high 120's. Now the best thing is I am almost home and can set up my DVR to catch Danny bring us home a national championship. Terry |

Glendale got 3 on their XBRR - I have to look them up - the alphabet soup of the categories has my head hurting. APS-PG & APS-PF 1000 and APS-PF1350 (if that helps) (Message edited by slaughter on September 15, 2009) |

From Glendale's web site (www.GlendaleHarley.com): GLENDALE HARLEY'S RACING TEAM MAKES HISTORY - SETS 3 LAND SPEED RECORDS AT BONNEVILLE SALT FLATS! It takes some race teams a decade or longer to make a single record-setting run on the Salt Flats. Congratulations to Oliver and his Glendale Harley Racing Team for setting THREE new land speed records in one session! Serge Martin rode the Glendale Harley Buell XB9R in the APS Class (Altered Partial Streamlined) Pushrod Gas 1000cc or under to a record 135.5 mph, breaking the old record by 6 mph! Serge also set a record in the APS Pushrod Fuel category, running a record 136.1 mph on the Glendale Harley XB9R Buell. In the APS Pushrod Fuel 1350cc or under category, Glendale's Terry Stewart ran a Buell XBRR over 166 mph, setting another record on the Flats! (Message edited by blake on September 15, 2009) |

Congrats to the boys from Glendale, but watch out next year. The Blast set records faster than the record setting 1000 cc Production XB9 and only 3-4 mph less than you guys. Our top speed was just a little over 138. So if a Blast engine is just one cylinder XB9, what are you guys with that other cylinder? lol Terry It was nice to see you guys and looking forward to next year, congrats again, job well done |
