Oh and for those of you who haven't met Mitsu yet - he NEVER sleeps - at least maybe now we know he sleeps on his feet! |

Steve, Why are you referring to Thomas as Audrey? Is it a hot day in Lancaster again. All I can say is, hydrate! Oh yeah... more $ to Shawn has been sent. That tailsection is so pitiful. Being since he's representin' and all, he needs to have a proper scoot for the grand finale in NJ. Don't worry about Mitsu, Aubrey. He does quality work asleep and awake. |

And of course - I was confusing TWO different folks doing the posting... so of course, TOM's question about the old fund raising was lost in my confused blithering. (Ozzie, yabbut it's a DRY heat) |

It's clear how generous the folks on this forum are. And it's awesomely clear how important BadWeb is to all of us. I'm all for helping BadWeb with a fundraiser. Just give the word, Blake |

I'll think about it. It requires more than passing attention to do right. |

Steve, don't worry about the Audrey thing, happens ALL the time. Here's how it usually goes...me and my wife go to the store for some cool frosty beverages. I give the clerk my credit card, they take one look at the name, then turn to my wife and say, "May I see your ID miss". It wasn't the first time, and it SURE won't be the last "It's really cool Audrey." That's almost as good as "Settle down Francis." Oh, and thanks for the explanation of the (sorta) sponsorship. It would be pretty cool to see a BadWeB sponshorship sticker on some of the privateer Buell bikes, but I understand that takes a concerted effort to accompish. |

Oh snap! I just caught where you made the mixup. "2008xb12scg" and "20xb12s04" are neither very creative screen names nor easily discernible in close proximity. (Message edited by 20xb12s04 on August 19, 2009) |

Way too many years ago, I was a club racer. I wasn't fast, but I absolutely was addicted to racing. I can remember paying my entry fee with a check one time, because I'd spent all my money on brakes, and my wife got paid on Tuesday, so the money would be in the bank when the check got back. (I was passing for the lead when I crashed, that race). Anyway, I can totally relate to what Shawn is doing. He's living a dream. If Blake decides to do some sort of fundraiser, I'll contribute what I can. |

I need to make a correction - Walt Sipp while he raced the Bison XBRR at Daytona, didn't receive Badweb money... it is (AGAIN) a case of Slaughter's "memory issues." It WAS really cool being in the pits at Road America on the 25th and seeing Seth Buchbinder and Pete Alesso getting their "surprise" contingency checks. Kinda cool actually... REALLY cool! |

Thats too bad because Walt is a stand up guy who is in need of some $$ as well. |

Court, >>>Blake . . the minute this season is over I think we need to consider a fund raiser. There's never been, in my mind, a greater moment for Badweb, than the day you walked around the pits with a checkbook! That was a good day. Almost ran out of checks! The folks running CCS/ASRA, Henry Duga, and Paul James were all integral in making that effort a huge success. The major presence in AMA Pro Racing this year of the Buell racers has, unfortunately, tended to overshadow the ASRA and CCS national series, the guys in the trenches running Thunderbike and taking no prisoners. Another endeavor that I think would be really cool would be to have a BadWeB invitational. A version of Pinks for road racing. A big step up from Battle Trax, but similar format. |

Walt is a stand up guy. Unfortunately we only ran the FX program the one year and he had the really bad luck of DNFs in his FX races that year. |

I have met quite a few BadWeb members recently and wanted to join onto the forum and say Hi to the entire BadWeb group. After the VIR tearup it looked like my season was going to end one race early. However I'm very excited to say that the donation from Badweb will help me finish the season at NJ! Thank you to everyone for the support and birthday wishes. Marianne just updated the higbee-racing.com site to include the Badweb logo. It's great to see everyone gathering at the Badweb forum, Buell enthusiast rock! |

You know, steak was on sale at the Supermarket today; so I bought one, and instead of going out for dinner, I cooked on the grill and sent the difference as a donation. I know it's not much, but it's all I can afford at the present time. And maybe Shawn and Marianne will be able to buy a couple of burgers at the Golden Starches with it; or spend it on something equally extravagant. |

Shawn, First of all, welcome to BadWeB! Second, thank you for living the dream and for letting us live it vicariously through you and the other privateers racing Buells at the professional level. Before this season, I never paid much attention to motorcycle racing, but now I am hooked! Keep up the great work and GO GET 'EM!!! |

Anyone know what happened to Shawn for the DSB Race? I dont know if he ever even made it out... |

I was wondering the same. The following is my understanding from bits and pieces of news and RRW: - He did run Superbike - placed 18th - RRW reports he sat in for Johnson on the James Gang Hoban Brothers team in the Moto GT race. Here's what I surmise: Riding Moto GT, Superbike and DSB is too much, even for Shawn. I believe he optimized by riding Superbike (better chance than DSB for being in the money) and skipped DSB this time. Only my .02 |
