2009 AMA Pro Road Race Round 8 Honda Super Cycle Weekend presented by Dunlop Tires Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course Lexington , Ohio July 17-19 , 2009 By Eric Barrows Danny had been celebrating as he made his way around the track.  RMR-Geico Buell Team High Five (Danny "Slick" Eslick and Michael "Barney" Barnes Then Danny and his RMR-Geico Buell Daytona Sport Bike crested the top of turn 8 and came to rest in front of an exuberant crowd. The following pictures document what then transpired to the delight of all the race fans there.    Danny realizes he isn't being respectful by not facing the fans, easy solution for the Oklahoman!    Danny spun his RMR-Geico Buell around, then as he faced a throng of cheering fans, he commenced laying waste to some of the best that Dunlop has to offer.   The shredding flying rubber was so dense that the camera started auto-focusing on it instead of what was left visible of Danny!  Small pieces of liberated Dunlop rubber flying free  Larger chunks going airborne  It's said that airborn particulate matter can help mitigate global warming.  Who knew? Danny Eslick, climate warrior?  All for the good of the planet!    The CHEERING CROWD spurring him on, thick impenetrable smoke enveloped the bike...  and Danny!   This Michiganer (noted on his hat) tried sweeping up the evidence, but the crowd started singing the OHIO song, and he skulked away, a dejected Wolverine beaten by the Buckeyes.  Shortly after the poor harassed Michigan man departed, the Blower truck dispatched the telltale remains of Slick's celebration. The National Weather Service has yet to confirm the inevitable drop in global temperature. Meanwhile Barney had been awaiting Danny for another Tire Smoke Duel. But instead the RoadRacingWorld.com racer (Maltin?) pulled up along side, and he assisted in enveloping Barney...     Check out the trail of rubber shooting out from behind the tire......  |
