Greetings guys, My Spyke suit is shot and I need to replace it. I'm, 5'-11", 200lbs. and want a high quality suit but I'd like to find one in the $900.00 range or less. Any thoughts, suggestions or where to buy? Thanks in advance!! www.racingwithralph.blogspot.com |

Try looking for a Teknic Speedstar on closeout. I bought a speedstar on closeout over the winter and am very happy with it so far. The suits do run small so you need to buy one that is a size bigger than you normally wear. I bought a 48 even though I normally wear a 46. It fits good but is a little tight. The suit seems to be built like a tank and weigh's as much as one!. I think I bought it for $800 or so. |

Ralph, depending on how you carry your 200 lbs, this one should work: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=160340044115 If you're 200 is mostly in the middle, you should probably keep shopping. This suit is one super nice suit. Thanks, Frank. |

I am pretty happy with the Fieldsheer suit I have. It is the "Flex" suit, one below their top of the line. MSRP is $799-879. I picked mine up, barely used for $200. (Message edited by Paint shaker on June 08, 2009) |

Ebay ... not bad IF you know what size you need. You might budget an additional $250 for alterations if needed. Think spine protector - a danged good idea - and required by every known race organization. A cheap Ebay suit isn't a bad way to go - for a first suit - but realize that if you (like me) are not "average" in size, no suit really fits without tailoring... and spine pads are worth buying new. |
