Mark Amable is his name and it looks like our thoughts and prayers worked. He was having difficulty breathing due to fluid in his lungs. It seems like as soon as that cleared up he was released from the hospital. One of his first stops was Faultline Buell his sponsor. Not telling tales out of school. but he has already put together a list of parts he will need for his bike before the next AFM Infineon round. Keep watch here for a post from him. Terry - JT&S |

Hi guys, Ted here from Faultline H-D/Buell here. Mark came by yesterday right after getting out of the hospital....I mean RIGHT after, I think he came by here on his way home. He is a bit beat up, a nice assortment of stiches and staples....but mentally he is ready to go. He was actually telling me that me might go back to work on monday.....which he will hopefully NOT do, because it was a BIG incident and time will be needed to recover. He is in great spirits, already setting his laptime goals for the next Infineon round! He (and we) really appreciate the support from Badweb. I just showed Mark the postings here (he is sitting in front of me right now!...came in with his parts list!) and I am sure he will give his 2cents when he has the time and manual dexterity (his hands are pretty swollen). Thanks again, Badweb rules, best wishes to everyone, your blessings are working because Mark is already moving around better today than he was yesterday. |

I am sure you will see him out there for the next Infineon round if there is anyway he can make it. My initial post was kind of light and when I just re-read it I feel I did not do Mark justice with how tough he is being right now. Just FYI, they had to induce a coma to control his internal injuries, he is still working on clearing the fluid out of his lungs, he suffered 4 broken ribs, a broken shoulder blade, a cracked (fractured) pelvis (or hip...I forgot)and some serious cuts and contusions, his body is basically one gigantic bruise, if you can picture that.......so it really is amazing that he got himself up and walking around soo quickly. He really appreciated the thoughts from all Badwebbers....keep him in your thoughts and I am sure you will see him out on track soon! Thanks again everyone. |
