I just picked up my 1125r chain drive conversion kit. It comes with a 17 tooth counter shaft sprocket, does anyone know what a good range of rear sprockets would be for the following tracks. Road American, Mid Ohio VIR NJ Motorsports Park Thanks Jim |

I just got back from Road America and found the 17 front and 45 rear worked pretty good. Was the same gearing I used at Daytona. Have not been to the other tracks with this bike. |

the stock gearing ( belt ) comes to 17/44 on the track we drive the most ( Assen ) where at 46 rear, and now we drive 200 meters in 5e gear in the straid, if that laps is 3 seconds slower, we hit the ref limit in 4e just before the corner. where going to try a 47 rear, it all depens on how fast your cornering, 44/45/46 is a good starting point. a chain speed above 125 m/h is bad thing |

44 is little higher than stock so that is probably OK for VIR |

I can't imagine needing TALLER gearing than stock for racing. I can't see a bike hitting rev limit on VIR with stock gearing and needing to give up acceleration by taller gearing... but I haven't ridden VIR so my opinion is worth half of what you paid for it! |

I have ridden VIR with a 43 on the rear of my 1125R. The 43 was too tall. They always say set your gearing so you are just hitting the rev limiter at the end of the longest straight. I don't always go by that, I feel you find where you are having trouble down shifting, where the lower gear is a little too low and maybe go with a higher final drive to get your troubled corner worked out. |

Does anyone know how many link chain this kit requires? I think I got the last or second to last chain drive set they had. |

Does anybody have any thoughts on gearing for Mid-Ohio. Which is coming up in a couple weeks. |
