Went riding for a 4 day trip on the curvy roads of WV and PA and came across 3 different Repsol Honda, so I was wondering that it would be cool if Buell came with something similar considering Eslick won the first AMA race for Buell it would be only logical. And with hard work and luck he will take the title. A full fairing Buell |

It is very possible that we have replica body work available. How many would be interested? |

How cool a display would that be on a showroom floor? A poster of "Eslick didn't get the memo" in the background of the RMR "replica" I bet it'd be way cool - maybe with a DVD playing of the racing and interviews. |

I might be interested in something like that. A slightly modified version of course.. It needs to have mirrors and a cutout for the kickstand, but that's all minor.... I wonder, how much would a body like that cost? |

Replica street legal bodywork? There is a market, but I can't tell you how big or small it might be. You might want to cross-post this in the 1125R section to get a better feel. I know some of the folks over there have been chomping at the bit for a full 'kit'. |

Danny Eslick's chief mechanic Dennis Zickrick recently visited us at High Country H-D/Buell and reviewed our numerous Buell racing efforts. Look for good things to come from this relationship. This guy is smart, experienced and accomplished. He was a team manager for Suzuki road racing efforts last year. |

So it appears Dennis also found himself in the winning podium one year, way back, at Pikes Peak. Our master tech for our Buell efforts Max is wearing the baseball cap, Dennis is the denim Buell shirt wearing guy.

Dennis looks to be wondering how our Bonneville Salt Flats bike got going so fast as fellow BWBer Zac shares some of his stories from the 17,000 miles he has logged on his 1125r daily rider.

rmr, If you were to offer a lower fairing kit with pre-made brackets and cut outs for kickstand and such, I think you could sell quite a few. Then offer decals (probably slightly modified due to the need for light and mirrors and such for the street) and you'd really be on to something. The problem for me with what's available is that for one I want to keep the factory pods. They are cheap to replace if needed and internally offer protection for the frame and engine in a drop. Secondly is no one who sells the body work includes a mounting system. I don't have the time, ability, desire or facilities to make brackets and stuff. You start selling a lower fairing and belly pan kit that is configured for the street and includes a mounting system, and you won't be able to make 'em fast enough. I guess you could say I'd be interested. I'll post this thread in the 1125r forum so you can see if anyone else feels the way I do about this. ps- fiberglass would be better for a street kit. It's cheaper and if it were to be damaged, I would think that it would be easier to repair than carbon fiber. (Message edited by badlionsfan on May 02, 2009) |

It would be cool if as a bike owner you could purchase the side body kit so you don't have to discard any OEM plastics. I however have to purchase a 1125R bike first. hopefully this year |

anyone read the mag article? curious-is it a fairytale or farce...or a legitimate race winning program? The last seems to be the REAL situation... |
