Does any one know if the 1125r full fairing will work on a XB. |

The fairing stays have to come from the 1125R - meaning that you'd have to rig up your instrument mounts and lighting wiring. You'd still have to fabricate the rest of the fairing mounts for side panels (very simple) Easier on a racebike than a streetbike. |

That ^ is better information. I only looked to see if the 1125R fairing stay would bolt up my XB mounts on the chassis head tube. Using simple spacers to widen the stock fairing stay is a MUCH BETTER way to go!!! |

Oppss... The 1125 stock front fairing will fit on the stock XB front fairing mounts. It will require spacers to catch the mirror mouting points. I believe I saw it on the James Gang racing XBR last year at Homecoming. Not sure what you would do for lights though. I am sure the rest of the fairing could be fitted with some custom made hangers. Not sure how well it would work for street use. (Message edited by Paint shaker on April 07, 2009) |

Yeah - I'm going from memory on James' bike too. I did check the head-tube mounts on both bikes and those 2 mounts are common to both - but I'd still like to see both of em side-to-side. I wasn't looking at lights or mirrors though. |

The stock 1125 fairing fits the XB racebike with the addition of very simple brackets on the top bolts. The rest of the bodywork would probably require some fab work as well.

James Gangs bikes ran the XBRR fairings on the MOTO-ST bikes. I know, I took the off and put them back on a bunch of times. (Mike) Coolice filled the ram air scoop in with foam and put the number plate over it. |

My plans are to run the 1125r street body and convert the the headlights as well. I was going to run the XBRR body but dont want to cut out for headlights. As far as making brackets to make it work I dont mind that just really want to make sure the body work will wrap around. I hate to buy them and they wouldnt fit |

Lucas70374, The 1125R headlights are going to be a problem on the XB. There is not nearly enough space behind the fairing when it's on an XB because the 1125R headlight pods are very deep. I'm afraid you'd have to use an 1125R fairing stay and rework the XB's wiring locations which may still not give you the room you need. Each 1125R headlight is pod retails just under $300.00 if memory serves, also. Since the racebikes don't need lights, it's a pretty easy swap. |

Gearhead, thanks for the info. Well I went to work todday and took a really good look at the headlight. To me it looks like the headlights attach to the fairing stay as well. I think I will just use the 1125r fairing stay and adapt my speedo to that somehow. The bike will be street use |

Gearhead-I was wondering how well the new fairing felt compared to the XB fairing. Is it something you can notice? I rode an 1125r once but was grinning too much to pay attention to the wind buffeting or lack thereof. I'm in the process of fabbing up a fairing mount for my XB track bike and may just switch to an 1125 fairing if I can find one for cheap, as from what I've read, they are much nicer at speed. Thanks for any info! |

The whole 1125R fairing thing actually started when my race bike was parked next to my new 1125R at the dealership two winters ago as part of a display. It looked like a simple swap and I did it to help my bike stand out and hoped it would give me some aero aid as well. I'm a back marker so every little bit helps!! Now after a season of running it I believe it's been a help to me on long straights like at Road America, you may have noticed that it's actually jacked up a little higher than a stock 1125R. The brackets are made out of light sheet metal and require a little twist to make them work. Mine has been crash tested and everything held up great. I've seen a few fairings on Ebay but new they around $130.00 and the windhield around $60.00 and now you can get them in white, red and black. You'll have to give Henry Duga a call for the headlight blanks which costs just under $50.00 for the pair. I made my first set off my 1125's headlights which worked fine but the Buell Racing pieces are MUCH nicer and worth the price.
