Does anyone know if the Buell race teams will be at the AMA open practice at Infineon Raceway on April 20th-22nd? I'm planning on going out on Monday. |

Good question. That would be fun. I am sure RMR will announce it in the near future if they are.... |

Not too sure who all will be there from one of the Buell race teams, but if you guys stop pass the shop early enough we can plan some lunch. Terry - JT&S Performance |

Jimmy and I will have some type of lunch at the shop for any of you that stop past. We will cruise the paddock and give directions to our shop up on the hill, or give us a call 707 996-6103 - Terry - JT&S Performance |

Great day at the track, no Buells, but still a fun time. Thanks to JT&S for your hospitality. You guys can really put on a spread and it was great to see all the other fellow buellers there as well. See you next weekend at the AFM races. It will be great to see the 1125 on the track. |

Thanks Mike, see you Sunday. .... Now for those who couldn't make it out, just an observation. I understand the Buell operates the entire company with 200 employees top top bottom and so far this year they manage to win three of the first five races on their new 1125. So why is that unfair against the factory big four import teams? A quick count of heads down in the paddock shows those four teams had more people here for this two day open practice than Buell employs in total. Infineon Raceway is one of the most technical tracks on the west coast, so don't get me started about how many laps Hacking and Roger Lee were able to get in. Just wait until someone states how unfair the rules are allowing the Buell 1125 in the Daytona Sport Bike Class, The let's all smile when our Danny hands them their A**** on a track he has never raced on. ... Danny Eslick has not only raced at Infineon he has 2 podium finshes there . In 2006 Danny Eslick was 3rd in the FX class passing Josh Hayes on the last lap in the only FX race Josh Hayes did not finsh on the podium all year, Eric Bostrom won that race with his factory Yamaha teamate Jason Disalvo finshing 2nd . Last year in the 600 Supersport race Danny Eslick lead the 1st lap ,and ended up 3rd behind the 2 riders that finshed 1st,and 2nd in Supersport points Ben Bostrom ,and Jake Zemke . By the way I was at the test both days ,and even got to ask a question today to Ben Bostrom ,and Josh Hayes . I asked them if they had a better chance of beating the Suzukies at Infineon since it is not a top speed track since the new R1 is down on top speed ,and they said yes. Ben Bostrom was the fastest rider both days of the test . (Message edited by amafan on April 21, 2009) |

I watched Bostrom today and not only did the bike sound great but he was clearly the fastest guy while I was watching. That bike lifted the front everywhere!!! It was a bit disappointing to have no Buells running. |

Sorry we couldnt make it out....it was just too much to make California this close to Barber. The teams that went will have a leg up....but I am sure my guys will be fine. See you out there in May! |

Richie, we all expect a repeat performance from Fontana! Just kidding. I just wanted to express a sincere thanks for helping make this an incredibly exciting time for Buell fans (and I think even those critical of the 1125r, have to admit that the series is MUCH more interesting and dramatic both on the track and off.) The only reason I am going to Infineon is to watch the Buells run (okay, the Geico girls help too.) It's not a good time to take off work, but oh well, you only live once. |
