Maaaaaan! Not looking forward to tomorrow. The "Hate Buell" crowd will be crying like a six year old with two skinned knees and mama nowhere in sight! (Message edited by black on April 05, 2009) |

More mindless hate on Buell. Sad. Brew it up just to make sales and/or get attention. Seems to me that the big four had as much influence on DMG keeping the Ducs out as anybody else. Let the Ducs come, Buell's fine with that I'd bet. Raise the bar. The more brands in the race the better. But the 1125 is fairly competitive in this class at the bottom of it's performance envelope while the 600s are pushed up to meet the class. Asking the 600s to compete against what the Ducs would want to run would be kind of harsh I think. |

To be honest, I believe that when Hacking and DiSalvo crashed, both were ahead of Danny. Unless he was holding something back or preserving his tires I don't think he would have caught them. I would like to see the splits 'cuz I'm not sure where Danny was losing it? I'm thrilled for the Buell but I sure don't think anyone has a right to complain...DiSalvo, Hacking and Zemke were plenty competitive. The long straight at Road America should be interesting. |

True, but no one runs the 848 because it'll likely get killed by the 600s. The comment was that the Duc 1098/1198s should be allowed if the Buell 1125 and Apr RSV1000 are. Ducati wouldn't want any part of that given their wishes. The baseline 1098 wouldn't do well in Daytona and the top of the line would redefine the class and is already in Superbike. Someone else has already pointed out that for Ducati Daytona is a lose-lose proposition for them. On the other hand Aprillia and Buell teams just want to race and don't mind getting it on in a fair multi-class street fight. I havn't followed them much but it strikes me that the real underdog in Daytona is Triumph? |

I was following the Triumph. He finished 17th on the lead lap. I am rooting for them. I am rooting for all the non-600s. Say what you want, Eslick won because he was consistent, not because he had the fastest bike there. The two top Buells were not in the top five fastest lap times, but Eslick hit near his fastest time, lap after lap. No shame in riding your bike to its and your limits, but knowing where those limits are and not crossing them. Great ride and I can not wait to see it. The Me-Too crowd will never admit Eslick out rode them today. I couldn't care less if they did. A Buell is beating them and it looks like Knapp is coming too. The world is noticing Buell is coming, no shame in that. (Message edited by M2nc on April 05, 2009) |

Given a couple of years of CONSISTENT rules this class could turn into a twins class that 600 fours are aloud to participate in. |

And in case anyone was wondering...she was not at Road Atlanta this weekend. Must have been a west coast girl they hired for the weekend. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/158 664/446947.jpg |

The ducati 848 would be very competitive I think with a good team and rider. It makes 134hp at the crank and ducati has a race catalog to hop it up. and would probably be able to hit the minimum weight. I would love to see one in there racing. If you see the big twins running away with the class my guess is that they would allow the 4cyls. more cc's. |

You don't need to change the paint. That design is as nice as anything I've seen; and a damn site nicer than most. That's flat beautiful! |
