If you all want to give a big boost to Danny in particular and Buell racing in general than a short email to this person might help Rebecca Foss (Rfoss@geico.com) I would say something like you appreciate their support of MC racing and you favorite motorcycle and because of this you will consider Geico for your insurance needs in the future. If you are already a customer you might mention that and say you plan on staying with them. | ||

And regardless of who, lets get these emails going. This could make a huge difference. These marketing folks absolutly love it when something likes this draws a response. NASCAR was fueled by fans embracing the sponsors of the drives they liked. | ||

Hi Dave... Good idea.. In the letter to Ms. Foss can we refer to BadWeb or you as the source for getting her email address? I looked around on Geico's website and her contact info is not listed on their website. | ||

Hey guys...Im on the road out to Fontana and had to say thanks for this thread! When RMR, Buell, and GEICO formed our partnership...we had this in mind. To be successful on the track with RMR so GEICO and Buell would enjoy more success in the insurance and motorcycle industry. The activation of two American companies seemed to make sense. I told the guys at GEICO that motorcycle folks were loyal...and this proves it! We have a 3 year contract...but it is my intention to keep GEICO with Buell in Sportbike and beyond....hopefully for many more years. Thanks again! | ||

How ironic...I got a letter in the mail today. It was an advertisment for GEICO Powersports insurance. They had a pic of Michael Barnes on his Buell race bike, as well as all the other professional motorsports riders/athletes. | ||

I was at the Porsche Club gathering last Saturday and, following the Daytona performance, I've got two long time Ducati riders suddenly wanting to know if I can help them learn more about Buells. Dave - can you tell us where you got Ms Foss' email address? I'd like to "pretend" that I "found" her address. Sunny and I JUST bought a house, have a bunch of insurance on all our "stuff" - a half dozen vehicles... and it would be appropriate to say that we'd be looking at insuring all our STUFF with GEICO... except I don't think they do homeowner insurance. I'll send her a letter but it might be cool if I could "discover" her contact email in some other place. Thanks. | ||

Cool - I AM going to email and am actually LOOKING at re-insuring my stuff so the timing is great... I just don't see it as an advantage to say that "I found your name on Badweb" - I want to tie it directly to Geico and RMR. Yeah, I'd be more likely to put money directly to Higbee, but supporting a sponsor by buying a product that I'm already paying money for - it's good two ways. | ||

We won't see anything real definite. The idea is that if they are happy with the results, and these results will really mean they sell some insurance, then thye will continue to sponsor Buells. | ||

E-mail sent, explaining that I swapped my insurance to Geico about three or four months ago as a direct result of the sponsorship deal. I even included my real name in the signature so she could check it out if she wants  . | ||

hey this geico guys are pretty cool. I got an email from her back and then another fellow emailed me thanking me for switching form progressive to Geico and to say they are very happy about Eslick and Barnes. Support geico guys. Support the company that supports our buells | ||

I'm seeing a funny thing happen . . . two of my confederates who do NOT ride Buells are expressing a heightened interest in switching to GEICO insurance as a result of their support of Buell Racing. They are less concerned with Buell than they are impressed that GEICO has stepped up to the plate, recognized riders, listened to them and lent their sponsorship. I think it's cool that GEICO may realize benefits beyond the Buell community . . . that Gecko that smart? Seems so! I'm going to find a GEICO MOTORSPORTS sticker to put on my Buell as I patrol my little hamlet of 9,000,000 people. Cool! | ||
