>>>>I race CCS, and I'm nothing but an average amateur Ooops. That's a fairly inaccurate statement. You, my friend, are the VERY REASON Buell races. Erik, and I'm probably not sharing any state secrets here, vicariously races through every Amateur out there. He lives and breathes this stuff and also of note is that the day the below picture was taken, we were sitting at home later in the day and guess what Erik was talking about . . . .yep, how cool is was to see you and the other Buell racers. He loves being at the track, listening, learning and being smack dab in the middle of things. It gets better in that Job Flickinger, a damn good rider in his own right, is just as enthusiastic. When was the last time . . . . . if you don't know, just take a guess. . . . . that one of the top executives from Honda, Suzuki or Yamaha got up early, drove 2 hours (left the road twice while listening to music on the iPod) just to get to the track and make sure all the amateurs were supported. I was there, 11 years ago, also when a guy had a problem with his bike, Erik cancelled a speaking engagement, had the bike torn apart and worked on it till it was perfect. In the world of Buell there really is no such thing as "nothing but an average amateur ". I'd challenge anyone . . . . . with the millions of pics on motorcycle websites to reproduce a photo like that with ANY other team. Court |

Thanks Court, I'd almost forgotten about those pics! Things have been kinda hectic around here lately, but I'll be getting back to you about those. This was by far one of the highlights of my motorcycling career! Erik truly is one of the good guys! He was more than happy to stop by and just see how things were going on the weekend and just talk motorcycles. And Court you're right Flickinger is just as enthusiastic. GO BUELL RACING!!!!!!!!!!!!! Court, Is there any chance Erik might make it to the Road Atlanta AMA races? It's just a few miles from my house...may have to go check out the Buell action in person. |

Any Buell enthusiast should make a special effort this year to goto the AMA race near you. All the excitement surrounding Buell is just too cool not to be a part of for at least a weekend! |

AMA Pro Daytona SportBike Championship points leader Jamie Hacking plans to issue a public apology to AMA Pro Racing, as stipulated in his suspension by the sanctioning body, and his team, Monster Energy Attack Kawasaki, plans to pay his $4000 fine. |

I guess that settles that: From AMA Pro Racing press release: Jamie Hacking Penalty Suspended and Rider Placed on Probation for Remainder of 2009 Hacking to Race at Road Atlanta After Meeting with AMA Pro Road Racing Officials in Daytona DAYTONA BEACH, Florida (March 27, 2009) - Attack Kawasaki rider Jamie Hacking has been placed on probation for the remainder of the 2009 AMA Pro Road Racing season and his minimum one-event penalty that was assessed following this past Sunday's race at Auto Club Speedway has been suspended for the balance of the season following a productive meeting today with AMA Pro Racing President Roger Edmondson and his management team at AMA Pro headquarters in Daytona Beach. Hacking has paid the related $4,000 fine and also delivered to AMA Pro management in the meeting a letter of apology following the penalty for "conduct detrimental to the sport of professional motorcycle racing" that was assessed Sunday evening following the second and final AMA Pro Daytona SportBike presented by AMSOIL race of the weekend. Hacking used a string of profane language while exiting the press interview area in the Auto Club Speedway media center in addition to displaying additional acts of inappropriate behavior in both public and media interviews throughout the weekend. Hacking will be permitted to compete in next weekend's event at Road Atlanta but any violations of his probation in that event or any other on the 2009 schedule will result in the immediate enforcement of the one-event penalty, in addition to any other fines, penalties or suspensions related to the infraction. In the meeting and through his formal letter, Hacking apologized to the "AMA organization and staff, Auto Club Speedway, event sponsors, media and all of the race fans." AMA Pro officials were satisfied with Hacking's actions and demeanor during the meeting. The organization wishes to thank Hacking, his wife Rachel and Team Attack Kawasaki principal Richard Stanboli, who were all in attendance at the meeting, for their cooperation and professionalism in addressing this situation. This press release will be the extent of AMA Pro Road Racing's comment on the matter. AMA Pro Racing is the premier professional motorcycle racing organization in North America, operating a full schedule of events and championships for a variety of motorcycle disciplines. From its Daytona Beach headquarters, the organization operates and manages AMA Pro Road Racing, which includes AMA Pro American Superbike, AMA Pro Daytona SportBike, AMA Pro SuperSport and AMA Pro SunTrust Moto-GT. AMA Pro Racing also manages and works closely with the day-to-day operational organizations of the AMA Pro Flat Track Championship and the AMA Pro Supermoto Championship Series in addition to other two-wheel and ATV series. Well...that should make for better racing and a much more interesting time overall at Road Atlanta next week. I'm going out for at least one day....then will wait for two weeks to see parts of if on TV. Sigh. |

+1 Drummer. It would be a shame to see who's turning out as Slick's main nemesis in the series be forced to sit next weekend out. As much as I dislike Hacking, it will be much better for the racing and also better when Slick beats him AGAIN. |

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that it would be good for Hacking to win a race or two. That way he couldn't bellyache about the "unfair advantage". Maybe Danny should let him win one. LOL! |

I find it funny that no one has made mention of the fact that Hacking is on a brand new bike this year. The gripe is always that the Buell is an 1125. What a joke. Seems like a way to gang up on the Buell. Hacking himself said that he's been getting new parts daily. That bike is probably not even up to full speed yet. People need to understand that this is the first season for Daytona Sportbike, everybody is still trying to get things sorted out. Hell it took forever for the final draft of the rules to show up! I'll bet that the racing is only going to get better as it gets later in the season. Schmitty |

Hmmmm... I think that when Hacking wins a race, everyone should complain that he has an unfair advantage over the Buells since he has twice as many cyclinders and valves. Then, to pound home the point.. Danny, Barney, Shawn, Josh, Taylor, Bryan (Bemisderfer), Paul, Jeff (James Gang!) all on the podium at the same time.. then we can let them worry about Buells having an 'unfair' advantage. The bike was ready. Danny was communicating with it VERY well.. and it shows. Next race? Time will tell.. |

they should have banned his butt for a race, lol then his ass would be upset when he falls back in points. I hope AMA does not become like baseball were they let buttheads do what ever they wants. baseball is so corrupt I hope it gets repaced one day by moto racing, lol |

i thought it was funny that Disalvo stopped talking to scold danny and hacking, then the second time saying " Did i do that when u were talkin, repeat.." all the while i was saying yes. yes u did. hopefully he showered before watching the interview because i imagine he foot in his mouth wouldnt taste good. did anyone else pick up on that? |
