Should I be using a brake disc hone to clean my front brake? I ordered the race pads today and am wandering if I should get a hone before installing them. Mechanic friend says no don't clean the old material off. But I see others doing it at the track. |

If I'm changing to a new pad material, I usually just use a green Scotchbrite pad on the rotor. I have a disc hone, but I personally have never used it. Good to have tools though...LOL! |
