That's cool Bigblock that you were able to get out on a Wednesday and get some runs in. I'm envious of the weather temps you had. It was a brutal 90* with god awful humidity here today. I could not get any better than a 10.56 with a 1.710 60' at 125.530 MPH. Best MPH of the night was 130.670 with my average around 129. That is down from the previous week where I was consistently in the 131/132 range. I don't know if something was off or if it was just the heat. I'm going to go with the heat as I have never sweat so much nor have I heard my fans run so much. They ran so much I saw the battery light flicker a few times on start up. Enough so I switched the IC over to watch the charging system. My street tire has survived 46 runs (plus street time) and is now toast! Waiting on the wheel to show up as well as a Shinko Drag Radial. Hoping to drop the 60' times down. (Message edited by puzzled on August 05, 2010) |

Your numbers look good to me! I seem to either slip the clutch too much or wheelie. I also think I am having the dreaded "not getting wot all the time" syndrome. Things to work on next time. |

wot in 1st is a scary thought...my mind tells me to do it but the wrist just says NO lol I play out the pass in my mind over and over, but when the lights drop-self preservation takes over. |

1st gear? No bars? Not gonna happen on my bike! Too much past 1/2 throttle and my front tire is pointing at the sky. |

yup. I never go wot till after the 1-2 shift wheelie comes down. Air shift sends it skyward even at way less throttle. |

LOL, I'm in the same as you guys. I just can't let the clutch fly and I'm running bars! As Bott suggested in another thread the R1 throttle tube will get our bikes to WOT sooner. Bott, how much sooner? |

let you know next week. My bike will have a 2010 motor in it completed tomorrow, after 2 1/2 months wait. The R1 is a 1/4 turn so it may be too quick for comfort.... |

Ya, I was concentrating on learning the strapped launch and noticed more than once I didn't have wot further down the track. Obviously with a PB of 10.85, it wasn't a problem on that pass, but I am wondering if my consistency problems had more to do with me than the weather! |

Same here Bigblock. I have to do a concentrated effort to make sure I go wot once it settles out on the 1-2. Its a lot happening in such a short run, and any variances will put me right out of the dial in...anybody who thinks drag racing is "easy-just twist and go" has obviously NEVER made a pass. |

Yes, and drag bike is a whole different beast than drag car! |
