Well the first weekend with the buell I bought from Bartel's was quite anticlimactic(I think I spelled that right). I had all day on Saturday to get things going right on it where I could race it on Sunday. Well so I thought I went out for the first practice session of the day and everything seemed to be ok(besided the fact that I had on gearing for Willow when I was running gateway.....waaaayyyyyyyy offfff), my egt's were staying right where eklund told me to keep them and the bike seemed to handle pretty well except that I was dragging the exhaust in turn 2 and 7. Towards the end of the morning I noticed that my temps were creeping up a bit and I just kept an eye on it to make sure it didn't go over the 1300 mark. We have a "challenge series" in our club where we run two races at lunch to get some of the locals involved in racing. After the start I lead coming onto the front straight, got passed by an xb12, passed again right before a red flag. Came back into hot pit and checked the egt's and my temp had gone up to 1467..eeeekkk...I pulled back into the pits and called eklund. Since I didn't get a cable with the ecu Jeff came up with a plan, we tried a couple things and we still didnt' get the temps down so I shut down the Buell for the weekend. I've got the old ecu program that runs off of DOS so I ordered a new ecu and cable with the new software to get things sorted out, hopefully before MAM in oct. Luckily I still have my sv and I got going on it to get it dialed in for the races on Sunday. I got everything ready on that and ran it on sunday. I finished 1st in GT Lights, 2nd in Lightweight Grand Prix and Lightweight Superbike. I wish I could have had the Buell running so I could have run in supertwins and thunderbike...oh well theres alwasy next race heres a vid I shot from my sv during the LW SB race...it gets good about minute 6. Cool. So you bought one of Bartel's race bikes? When? First Buell? What's with the ratio of the video? And why does Anthony keep passing you on the straight?  | ||

its anthonys camera, he lent it to me with the agreement that I'd let him pass me a few times. Actually when I mounted it, I mounted it sideways so the aspect ratio wassupposed to be the other way...ooops. yup first buell | ||
