Court- Are you in the path of Isabel? Looks like a good portion of the east coast will be shut down by the end of the week anyway. Maybe they will give you some time off to clean up your yard. essjay |

>>>Maybe they will give you some time off to clean up your yard. Hah...in the powerline and powerplant business? Knock, knock...that's when we go to work. My boss was quoted in most the electrical mags this month explaining how, when others were on their ass, we were putting most our New York City clients lights back on with temporary power. Then again, anybody who HAS a yard in New York City can generally take time off. Yard was here when I arrived. Peter: If you decide to go, let me know. Funds are intact for immediate wire transfer or Paypal or conversion to guilders or whatever. Damnit, now you have me saying..."what about leaving from LaGuardia (next to the power plant) on Friday night and coming back on Sunday...

Peter, JUMP. The Elves need desperately an smart and intelligent screwdriver from Down Under. Swallow your pride and forget your own steam: Did you learn nothing in Holland: Grab all the money you can lay your hand on, or what is put under your nose, no matter its source, and go, go, go, go ! To those taking a head count Doug, my pop, is comming too. We are both busy and excited that we get to go. I look forward to watching all of you run almost as much as running myself. From memory I think we can join the USFRA at the event, can any of you confirm this? We have a cooler, tent, chairs, small generator, etc. Not much time, but if the group needs more gear please let me know and I will work on it. We plan to arrive around mid-day Thursday. |

REX here. Looks like I will be able to make it with both of my sons this year. One from Phoenix, and the other one from the Marines, just back home. Pretty cool. Josh and I have the Team elves shirts from last year. what is the cost per meal per person on the salt? I figure we would eat breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and only need something at noon on the salt...... The shirts....are they different from last year? I guess it would be easier to buy another one on the salt, vrs. trying to send money now..... thanks, REX |

>>>what is the cost per meal per person on the salt? $35 for the event. Like $10 for the Day. HINT: Eating at the hotel is to be avoided if possible. Breakfast, watching the sunrise on the salt, is better few places than Bonneville. The T-SHIRTS are different from last year. Team Jerseys from 2002 will work fine. All the remaining 2003 t-shirts and patches will be avaiable at the event. I'd reccomend, at this point, buying at Bonneville. Court NOTE: I think we've already sold all the L and XL except a couple XL long sleeve. If there is sufficient interest, I can have a "short run" done. There are, if anyone is interested, about 8 each of the L and XL 202.989 MPH shirts...now those are WAY COOL too. |

Hey guys, I wanna go, I wanna go, BUT I used more vacation time than I had to attend the 20th in East Troy. Anyone in the NorCal or Reno area interested in driving to Bonneville on Friday PM with a Sunday PM return trip. It's about a ten hour drive from the Bay Area to Bonneville, and although it's possible alone, a co-driver would make it a lot easier. Anyone interested or know anyone that might be on the fence about attending? If so, please let me know. Glenn GO ELVES |

Man, that's the best news I've had in awhile, Peter will be there! For those of you who don't know him, you wouldn't believe what a good wrench he is. He's passable as a mate, too He arrives at 7:38pm on Wednesday evening. Anyone coming through around then who can give him a ride? If not, we'll run back and get him. |

REAL stupid question... But let me see if my tuning/thinking is correct... Tuned the bike for sea level. Now its at Bonneville, 4000ft asl. So now the bike will run RICHER? So I have to use a smaller jet so that less fuel mixes with the less dense air to come up with the same air/fuel ratio that I had at sea level. is this correct? or bass-ackwards? damn, I hate having to actually RACE someone. Gone are the good ole days when we just showed up and ran, and got a record. Hmmm, nee to find a new class with open records... |

Just got off the phone with Ellen from the USFRA. The race is go. The standing water at the entrance to the Salt is gone. So they prepping for racing. HOWEVER, there is a weather front that may dip down into the area on Tues.-Wed. Keep yer fingers crossed that it doesnt hit the Salt. The last one that came from this direction dumped on Salt Lake City, but missed the Flats. Lets hope. |
