Whaaaa Hoooo, Done with work, doing final loading, a nice date with my wife on Saturday then off to Aaron's on Sunday. Life is improving every moment. Court, Say it isn't so, I have been trying to meet you for two years now. Damn, you will be missed by the German clan. Hope that it's not serious situation keeping you away. I promise, someday we will meet in the same location and be able to tell a few lies to each other. Ray |

Hey Shane Will be landing in SLC late thursday mourning. Have rental car trunk available. Can you get me a list of what you need at Costco and or Sam's. They are both near the airport. Keep it simple I am just a dumb desert rat from Arizona. DAVE (Have you seen Wilbur lately?) |

Essjay: 1) It would be unwise to make a roundtrip to SLC 2) The food should be bought on the way out 3) Aaron, with Paul in tow, will not have the time to stop. 4) Paul can cook, someone else will have to shop. 5) Shopping in Wendover is akin to trying to get laid in the Vatican. 6) Numbers are sketchy. Last year folks registered, this year I've heard from only a couple. 7.) Saving grace is that Paul is a dandy cook. 8.) Let me know where, and to whom, to send the $$$. Go get'em ! Court |

OK- Dave, that is a great offer! Now we just need to put together a list. Court- What are your sketchy numbers? And how many meals a day are on the menu? What is your current count for team members and registered participants? I think it would be best to send the money to Dave. I have met him on the salt and done business with him and he is trustworthy. He has voluntered to do the shopping in SLC on his way to the Salt on Thursday. Here is his e-mail: csg.inc@cox.net and you can pull up his profile from his post above yours. Also, could you e-mail me direct at hogdeadhead@hotmail.com,with the amount of funds available for the shopper to use at Costco? essjay (You do know there was a pregnant pope, right?) |

I might be able to bring a gas barb., won't know for sure until I get the rest of the stuff loaded, today or tomorow. Don't know if I can get any salmon, but probably can get some albacore tuna. If I have time to filet it I can bring some. If not seafood, I can bring ten lbs. of elk hamburger. Damn, Court, I was really looking forward to meeting you. How we going to have fun without you? ALEX PRIOR: Money received, not wasn't. E-mail the goods you were wanting to TeamBuellElves@aol.com RAY GERMAN: Got the "t-shirt for my eldest" e-mail. At this point, I am guessing and have it nailed down to either a male or female. I should, subject to clarvoyance, have the size devined this evening. Any help you can provide would both be appreciated and likely go light years toward increasing the probability it will fit. Let me know if you want it sent to Bonneville or Winfield. Court |

Aaron, What's the timeline for next week? I know folks are arriving ths weekend and Monday. What's the departure schedule for Wendover? Also, Team Elves camp setup on the flats, etc. I will leave MN early Monday AM with the intent of a banzai run to my sisters in Denver. Then on to your ranch on Tuesday AM. I just want to be sure that works. Since our master coordinator extraodinare cannot make it, I will make a feeble attempt to help keep things from falling through the cracks. I will be solo from MN, in our trusty mini van with bike in tow. I should have room to pick up and haul provisions if needed. I had intended to stop at Sams Club and pick up a couple of cases of water, I can get additional if needed. I will help with cooking if needed as long as we don't get too fancey. No Haute Cuisine, just basic brats, burgers and other grill fare. I'll bring necessary grill tools, vegi grill pans, etc. Brad Gotta run and get stuff, spare DVR battery DVR tape, tarp stakes, rope, etc. etc. etc.. Making a list and checking it twice!

Court, send me email (agalbraith@otan.us) detailing the Elf Chow tickets, if there be any. We will be bringing 3 people total, and will kick in whatever is needed $ wise to have us included in the gastronomic wonder that is Elf Chow. Sorry for the late inquiry, but I've been hip deep in other shite. |

Rex: Yes. There are XXL's. Large and XL are sold out. If there is sufficient demand, I can get another short run. Chop: ELF CHOW badges are on the way to Bonneville. See Paul Rogers when you arrive and he can fix you up. |

I am disapointed to have to say that I am joining Court on the sidelines this year. My wife is off to New Jersey for a whole week, leaving early on that Sunday so that pretty much shoots me down. Better luck next year. And good luck to everyone out on the salt Dave |

Brad: We leave Wednesday morning and will arrive in the late afternoon. We'll probab;y be able to stake out our area that day, or worst case Thursday. Thursday we set up camp and get registered and tech'ed and all that. Richard arrives by air on Thursday afternoon. Friday racing starts. Between now and our departure on Wednesday, people will be rolling in to my place here and I'm taking care of last minute bike prep as well as packing up. We may do some canyon riding if we can get on top of things and the weather improves a little. Steve P and Paul R are already here, Ray & company show up tomorrow, the XL list boys on Monday. It's looking like a good turnout on the salt, with several salt virgins showing up like Snail, Bob and Debbie, Essjay, etc. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm real excited about the bikes in my stable and their potential, too. As always, I'm wary of mechanical failures, but man, if things hold together, these should oughta be two fast bikes. I'll share more when you get here. I'll probably post pics of the RRS2 tomorrow, it's noticeably changed from last year. The M2 will be available and running 150 & 130 club duty, too. It's not a race bike but it ain't no slouch either. Can you tell I'm getting pumped? Damn it's been a lot of work, it's time to go RACING!

Wilsons 2 Steve P Paul R Brian & Richard Nallin Frontline Cycles 8 Brad Johnson Ray German 4 XL List team 5 via Co Snail Chop 3 Fireman Jim & son Rocky Bob & Debbie 3 Josh S Jewell 2 Philly Blast 2 last but by no means least my roomie RT Now if you aint on the list but are coming let me know soon. If you are bringing a grill let us know. For all that are not going to make it, your loss. For all that are, see you soon. The first night was abnormally quiet something seems to have changed at Rancho Wilson or was it the lack of our old mate Rocket. Did some electrical work on the trailer but the lights worked correctly we miss Peter's electrical talents. We finaly worked out why Court is not coming, without Grizzly & Henrik, he would not be needed to bail them out of Jail.

(Did some electrical work on the trailer but the lights worked correctly we miss Peter's electrical talents.) Man, I've been so tempted to just hop on a plane and fly into SLC. Then I look in my wallet and see that it ain't gunna happen. Sigh..... Put the Buell back together though. Had it out yesterday seating the rings. 3rd gear roll on wheelies sure are fun |

Seeing I'm not going to be there, this is for the Nallin boys.... You may be a Redneck when..... 1. You take your dog for a walk and you both use the same tree. 2. You can entertain yourself for more than an hour with a fly swatter. 3. You burn your yard rather than mow it. 4. You think the Nutcracker is something you do off the high dive. 5. The Salvation Army declines your mattress. 6. You think fast food is hitting a deer at 65 mph. 7. You offer to give someone the shirt off your back and they don't want it. 8. You come back from the dump with more than you took. 9. You keep a can of Raid on the kitchen table. 10. Your grandmother has Ammo on her Christmas list. 11. You think a subdivision is part of a math problem. 12. Your kids take a siphon hose to show and tell. 13. You have used a rag for a gas cap. 14. Your house doesn't have curtains but your truck does. 15. You wonder how service stations keep their restrooms so clean. 16. You can spit without opening your mouth. 17. You consider your license plate personalized because your father made it. 18. You have a complete set of salad bowls, and they all say Cool Whip on the side. 19. The biggest city you've ever been to is Wal-Mart. 20. Your working TV sits on top of your non-working TV. 21. You've used your ironing board as a buffet table. 22.. You think a quarter horse is that ride in front of K-Mart. 23. Your neighbors think you're a detective because a cop always brings you home. 24. A tornado hits your neighborhood and does $100,000 worth of improvement. 25. You've used a toilet brush as a back scratcher. Ya all have a good time now...... |

Paul: You've about twice the number of names that have registered. The only one I see missing is THE WOZ who has agreed to place his campaign for governor of CA on hold to make a gun run to the salt. Peter: I know how you feel. Tickets are laying here on the table in the foyer. We need a video feed! Brad Johnson will be doing the Henrik-Like photo work and gathering the annual photo summary fodder. Court |

Wow- That is a pow'ful passel o' people! Court- Dave volunteered to shop in SLC on his way through. We can give him a shopping list, can you get what money you have to him? It also sounds like we will be collecting a lot of the funds for Elf Chow when we get to the salt, from people like me who didn't get registered. Dave- would you be willing to front some shopping money till you get to the salt? We will probably be pulling out from here late monday so as to avoid the next batch of rain rolling into Washington. essjay shane ps- no virgin here, third trip to the salt |

Essjay: The money is not a problem. ELF CHOW badges were paid for last year and the 2003 BADGES are in the package on the way to Wendover. I've sent Dave (CSG) a note and will arrange to have funds wired, Paypal'd or money ordered to him. No problem there. In the Wendover care package will be ALL the remaining 2003 shirts, pathces, ELF CHOW badges and a price list. Someone can simply sell the badge to whomever may need one. Frankly, what price can you put on Paul's cooking??? Dave L: Give me a call. PaulouttaOz: Give me a call at your convenience and we'll make certain all the goodies needed are in the care-package. Bluzm2: Keep me posted on the status of that room, I keep staring at this ticket. I feel some impressive speed about to happen! Court

Paul: TOO COOL ! By the way, my mailbox has been deluged with "why aren't you going?" e-mails. Let me sum it up. I have learned (as a result of putting in for this time off) that I have 5 days of vacation left this year. In the same week I found out that Bryce Hunter (my youngest who some of you have met) is graduating a semester early from the University of Kansas. Ergo, the choice became, go to Bonneville OR (the operative word) go to Bryce's graduation. With me? I am FULLY behind this team, the people and rootin' at the top of my lungs for their success. I also am the owner of a paid for ticket that, if I could get it to work on a "leave Friday, come back Sunday night" basis, is a threat to those in attendance. Court |

BIG THANKS to Jim Bantz for the magnificent body and paint work again this year. There are changes under the hood as well and we're hopeful we'll be able to improve on last year's results. We're pushing this thing awfully hard, though, as evidenced last year. Getting it to live is the key. A couple of sponsors are not yet recognized on the bike, I'll get that done before we go. So we've got a rough count of 40 or so folks in and around the Team Elves encampment? With lots of race bikes and 130/150 club activity too? Cool! This will be the biggest one yet. Bring tables and chairs, yes, I barely have enough for myself. And awnings and tarps. |
