You guys need to simplify, try Snails three step plan for success. 1. load and haul bike to Bonneville 2. beat existing records soundly 3. return home with trophies Paul if it was that easy every body would do it you have missed out one step. Step 2a . Sell house ,car, trailer, bike and possibly pawn the trophies place money on bar and stand back. If you are lucky you may remeber where home is the next day to return to.} |

Paul if it's still moving it's got to be fresh. If you are talking small mollusc's a squeez of lemon with some Vodka, chilli and ginger will turn up there toes. If it's to big to boil or hit on the head I am positive being in the US I wont have to look far for sombody with a gun to help out. I have no idea what sort of gear is being organised, Court you or your better half need to answer this one. FMJ that was the extra virgin you are talking about!!! Oh other Paul. |

Court San Lorenzo is a saint, but Sam is his younger bada** biker brother. Lives on the wrong side of the tracks, too. Also, I'm not Mr., that was my father. I'm just the OldGuy from the 20th banquet. Sorry you missed it. Someone said you were getting too old to stay up that late. Might make it to Bonneville for the weekend. If so, hope to see you there. Near the access road, as of yesterday morning: Apparently they had quite a storm blow in on Friday. The good news is the course is dry ... The final call will be made on Monday the 15th. Let's hope the weather holds out. |

I sure hope it dries out. I have tickets to fly both of my sons in this year. My youngest is on leave from the marines, and my older one lives in phoenix. would hate to disappoint two years in a row, if you know what I mean. Well, I will not be fit enought to do the 130 mph club as planned. The ribs and collar bone are a long way from being okay. Just got the cast off of the ankle, but still wearing the x brace on the right side of the body. Still a little hard to breath. Hoping to come and just share the salt experience with everyone and my sons. I will be there Thursday night with son number 2, so we will be on the salt on Friday, then friday, I go to salt lake and pick up son number 1. then we will all be on the salt on Saturday and Sunday morning. Looking forward to it! Maybe next year for the 130 club. The bike was ready. 80 mph at 3,000 with the mods and six speed.. so I figured 130 plus was going to be feasible. rEX |

You are right....Not this year, and thanks for offering to take it up there for me. There would be no way I could get any leathers on right now, and do the run. I can barely get a regular shirt on....and to think if something would happen, I might as well lay down and die......So I better take it easy........If it was there, I would be tempted to try it, and I had better wait till next year. |

Aaron...you know our ETA...we'll have 5 folks...let us know if we need to pitch tents or something else. I was tracking that storm Friday watching it dumping rain on the salt on the local Nexad Radar...I know we can't afford another rain out, sponsors would like some kind of return! Forecast is for a lot of sun, but a tad cooler than it's been. USFRA is watching it also & will announce Monday, the 15th if it's a go/no go on their websight...won't do us no good as Sunday is departure day. As long as it doesn't dump anymore, we should be fine..hope it dries good..I want to see crunchy stuff, not paste! I'm getting to where the moment I set foot on the salt I can tell if it's gonna be easier or tuff getting the records. Dale A. |

Anyone out there in the SF bay or Sacramento areas interested in watching the Elves run at Bonneville? I'd like to drive up for the weekend (20th and 21st) and could leave mid-day on Friday the 19th. Return would be on Sunday evening with arrival in the Bay Area in the early AM on Monday. If we split the driving we could probably be semi-coherant for work on Monday. Any takers? Let me know. |

Here it is right off the USFRA web sight....this is good as I was watching the radar last night, it looked like the flats were getting rained on! Dale A. <<Salt Update September 10, 2003 Here in Salt Lake City we had substantial rain most of the night Tuesday. However, multiple independent sources contacted today in Wendover report that there was no rain in Wendover and there was no rain at the Salt Flats. I know that many of you are trying to make travel plans, and we at the USFRA will do our best to keep you informed of racing conditions. The final decision on about World of Speed will be made Monday morning Sept 15, 2003. I will post that information on www.saltflats.com as soon as it becomes available. Dan Wright>>
