Jim - http://www.saltflats.com/WOS03schedule.html says they are racing from 10 - 5 on the 19th too, which was my concern. Thanks Jim.

Roc, check this link out, slo joe on Sacborg posted it. Notice how the wire should be positioned so that it actually pulls the nuts tighter, or at least keeps them from loosening. Use .031 wire. http://www.ultralightnews.com/pilotslounge/safetywire.htm |

Roc..you guys just need me to safety wire your bikes up! I do it every day, USAF Reserves, on C-141 engines! I even have the nifty pliers! Good looking Race bike, #692...make sure you bring a Parts manual on it to show the part number on the carb(s) is correct...you'll have to prove that in Production one way or another. Dale A.

Thanks for the input. I understand the concept and I have almost everything wired up, except the front axle pinch nuts. Half of the heads of the bolts are covered by the lower fork legs. So one bolt head can be held in the correct rotational direction by the wire, but the correct shoulder of the other bolt is burried in fork leg. |

I'm a little behind schedule this year, been working my ass off but this stuff ain't easy, it takes a lot of work. As of last night, both bikes are making excellent numbers on the dyno. Still have a bunch of work to do but we'll be there. |

That's a negative to stick-on,real deal.About 6 hours old at that point. And a good tattooist will rarely draw blood.Sitting here at work on 2nd day of 3 in a row dreaming of long full throttle blasts into the distance.Leaving in 10 days--can't wait!!! But I am very bummed that so many of Team Elves staunchest supporters will not be making it--Peter,Sean,Griz,Henrik,JB2,Vik---the list just keeps getting longer. Roc,how about you?? I'll get back to making lists, now,as football bores me. So who IS coming at this point???? |

You guys need to simplify, try Snails three step plan for success. 1. load and haul bike to Bonneville 2. beat existing records soundly 3. return home with trophies |
