I had my first CCS race at Blackhawk Farms this weekend. I had an absolute blast!! I finished 7th in Thunderbike, which I think put me dead last, but it was my first race. On Sunday I had LW Supersport. I wheelied off the start and two guys got together right in front of me in turn 1 which put me way behind. I was pushing hard to try to make up time, and crashed in turn 1 on lap 2. I bottomed out the fork and it caused the rear to step out, which highsided me over the bars and right down on my head. It's too bad the weekend had to end on a sour note. I managed to cut my lap times from a 1:47 on Saturday to a 1:29.4 on Sunday!! And finally, I owe a huge THANK YOU to Mike "Coolice" Kirkpatrick and Paul James!! I was nervous as hell coming into the weekend, but with their help and encouragement I was much more at ease. Mike is an absolute Buell genius! He had so much advice for me that I wish I would have brought a pen and a notepad. And Paul had plenty of advice on how to get around BFR quickly. So again THANK YOU guys so much. I can't wait for the next round! Schmitty |

Congrats! Sorry to hear about sundays mishap, lets just not make it a habbit Lap times will continue to improve with practice. And if you were not in close on turn 1, it got very rough and difficult further out. I'm glad you made it to Buell alley, the crew there is the best! Tom #258
