7000 quid is a horrible price, especially for one "fettled upon" by a Saab mechanic of questionable sanity, but if we all pooled our money together and bought it,
I'd be surprised if you had any money to pool given the amount of overtime you seem to need to put in down at the office.

Actually, I stated that.
I very much agree that there is more to life than one's job/career/profession.
The fact remains that folks who dwell on negativity, especially in criticizing the efforts of others, rarely accomplish much themselves. |

You guys act like you never feel the need to correct injustices. Don't you ever feel angry about anything, or do you just push the injustices from your minds?
I don't think anger is a bad thing. Augustine said, "Hope has two beautiful daughters. Their names are anger and courage. Anger at the way things are and courage to see that they do not remain as they are." I get angry when I recognize injustice...it comes out like a voice from within.
However, I see that anger in itself is not enough. Hope’s second beautiful daughter is courage; the courage to express the anger and try to see that things do not remain the same. Of course, it is easy to turn the blind eye and simply walk away, resigned to the status quo. It takes courage to speak directly and respectfully when someone’s words or actions have made us angry.
I have added my name to petitions, written many a letter to the editors, worked diligently for causes with no compensation, tried to articulate my vision of the way things should be, taken risks of exposure to right a wrong, and have felt the sting of retribution.
It takes courage to having your views questioned by those who are less enlightened, or less tolerant, but it is worth it if change for the better is possible. Many times the outcome is not exactly as I thought it should be, but I have succeeded in living with integrity, and the comfort that I tried.

For whats its worth I'd prefer to have a 'mad' saab mechanic fettle my bike than the incompetent buell trained 'technicians' that practised on my bike during the first years of me owning it. They were almost on par with the Corporate Company marketing an under developed bike out onto the unsuspecting public then sitting back waiting to see what would fail then coming up with a recall and modification.

Something just struck me. Is this the first time in recent history, since the inception of the 748, that Ducati has introduced a new version of the literbike class machine without also introducing a new 750cc class machine in the same mold?

There will be numerous Buells ON the track for sure on the CCS/ASRA racing dates, and several Buells AT the track ridden by the speck taters there watching...including me.
Then the next weekend, AMA shows up and there will be Buells AT the track ridden by the speck taters like me again, but not nearly as many ON the track...like they said above.
There will be plenty of Flat Track racing all week long with plenty of HD powered racers going at it in the 750 class.
Come on down, it sure beats hanging out on Main Street all week...how many drunk chicks and cellulite mammas can one possibly stand to look at ?

What role will Ducati Corse play in the Pegram Racing effort this year?
They’re basically giving him intellectual support, for lack of a better term. We got them the bikes, the 749s that he’s running. They’re supporting him technically with any information he needs in order to work with and develop his bike—special tools and anything like that. Basically they’re not funding him to go out and run a race team, but they want him to get out there and win, so they’re happy to provide the tools and support necessary, just not the manpower and the sponsorship.

Does anyone know for sure what Darren James is riding in the Daytona 200?
The time sheets show a XBRR or XB12R and his website states he's riding his R6. He has access to all three bikes, I'm so confused! |
