i had fun this weekend,but did not do the best on the new bike ,fast got to work on the handleing some more its getting better. congrats to liberty hd and buell. thank my famliy and friends and the people that come out and support buell riders. will vir in 2 weeks who is going to be their, hope to see you their. ps: ant it was open house for roanoke valley hd and buell this weekend see where i was racing | ||

Ok, some pictures for your viewing pleasure Since Pete and Wendy will have the best action shots, I'll show you the rest of the story... Great turnout for this event, much higher than two weeks ago for the Shenandoah Track here and even than the turnout for the ASRA "National" up in Illinois on the same weekend. Too many IL4's, SV650's, two strokes to count, six XB Buells, two tubers, one BMW and even a Ninja 650. For results click HERE | ||

 Now to focus on Anthony a bit his last race on the 'old' XB netted him a third place finish, but it did not come without drama coming out of turn 10 on the last lap, I was standing on the wall behind the straight and watched as Anthony's bike lost the back end BIG TIME and he was able to catch it and keep from highsiding himself and finishing the race. As he rode by me I waved at him to tell him good job, but I saw the bike was leaking oil, so much so that he was spraying oil and had to pull of the track at turn one, but not without first oiling down the straight all the way to turn 1 with some high quality HD Syn3 oil.  Needless to say this caused a major delay in the race program and the shortening of the remaining races to five laps so a few riders came over to give Anthony "the business". He felt awful about is as I'm sure he'll say here later.  Turns out the brass oil return line fitting going into the oil pump snapped. To add insult to injury, he finally got to take the RR out for his final race of the day but the shifter bolt stripped leaving him stuck in one gear. That's racing. | ||

jose was right the finish was very scary, the doctor would have been proud of me. i guess my luck has changed for the good at summit point , and it was second place that i finished in that race, great shots jose thanks to everyone for there help and suport. | ||

Congrats on the 2nd place Mutant man! When did you realize you had an oil leak? Way to save it! We need an exciting mucho embelished recount of that harrowing experience.  A little oil leak? That's a heck of a lot better than what Fernando Alonso's multi-MILLION dollar Renault did (blew up scattering bits of engine all over the track). It's also better than what Roger Lee Hayden's Kawasaki did last week too; what a smoke grenade that thing was. Needless to say, ... I think the Mutant Racer Rocks! I would like to send out a BIG THANK YOU to all those who helped me complete a very successful first race weekend. It would not have been the same without the support and guidance of all of you.
