got to the track friday during FX practice and the only Buell i saw was the Warr's 999. we looked pretty hard for any other Buell team but found no evidence of any other entry. mike hale was listed in the program but during both qualifying sessions the only Buell on the track was 999. Never saw the 111 team at all and we looked pretty hard. Hopefully, there will be funding next year for a full schedule commitment for some of the Buell AMA teams. the rules are there for a very diverse FX grid next year. GO BUELL!! tim |

>>>most naysayers like these folks are arrogant do-nothings Agreed. That's what prompted me to write the piece about "do'ers and talkers" recently. Much of this had become so tiresome, precdictable and without merit that I simply pass over anything but the results. The folks at Buell have pulled of a rather spectacular season with very limited resources. I expect wonderful things, be they rece results or continued chances to see some wonderful friends, as a result of Buell racing. I was excited when they started and I'm excited now. Mid-Ohio is looking closer by the day. Court |

"And it seems too many people are overly quick to offer up their opinions..." Gee what a novel idea on a public forum. Do you guys really just want to read 100 "Go Buell" post entrys for every thread? I sure as heck don't. One troll post one entry and suddenly a decent thread get's turned into "How dare the naysayers...". Take the good with the bad and formulate an appropriate plan forward. Critical thinking is as good of a thing as blind enthusiasm. GO Buell!!! (Message edited by JScott on September 05, 2006) |

Bitch , moan , groan and complain.......or look for the positive points and offer up suggestions or support......guess it depends on your attitude and personality.Any troll-like person can see fault in anything......complaining about it without a solution in mind is a waste of everyones time and proves nothing except this persons unfortunate lack of self worth.Sure , we all wish for better outcomes in alot of areas of life. But being negative about it just pushes you and everyone around you back a step.Offer up ideas!Revel in peoples advances! It helps to cheerlead sometimes!I'm not saying do this blindly but theres some around here I've rarely,if ever, heard anything positive or useful come out of.Not saying thats you,but if the tire fits.......mount it!....now , back to making plans for Mid-Ohio....will I see any of you THERE???Perhaps sit and find some common ground on a positive "bend?"...I'm pretty certain,in Ohio, theres a lot of GOOD North Eastern Beer to be consumed...I , for one ,look forward to that!! |

"Offer up ideas!" Been there / got flamed "Revel in peoples advances!" Done that "I've rarely,if ever, heard anything positive or useful come out of.Not saying thats you,but if the tire fits.......mount it!...." Doesn't fit. I'd like to quote a "respected" member of the Buell community who has just recently said: "First, the company (Erik) is bound and determined to become a major player in AMA racing. Gawd, I admire his single-minded tenacity, but it's hard to ignore the fact the results to date have seriously dented the XBs credibility. With only a single FX race left in the '06 season, Buell (the racer) can only retire to East Troy and regroup for next year." Sound familiar? Basically the same thing has been said by myself and others, yet we are labled as "fools", "naysayers", etc. Speaking the truth is not always being negative. Oh and GO Buell! well i am a Bueller and always will. Like anything in life that achieves success it needs to go thrue its pains. i have to say to see mcwilliams even finish at top 10 at laguna seca was more then expected from Buell this year. I the era of companies buying companies off I would not be surprized if HD would do the same with MOTOCzysz.com that they did with buell. afterall czysz has background with HD. |

Damn! Speed Channel didn't mention Buell once. I think Buell is being intentionally ignored on these race broadcasts. You would think that as an American bike and a novelty on the series it would receive some attention from the media. I'm tired of being dismissed. LEt's make some noise. Open the exhaust on that baby so they can't ignore it!! |

In hindsight, it is safe to say that in its present iteration that it is not competitive with the factory teams...or even the top seven. Jim - Who do you think the top seven are. Factory teams! Regarding Toyota's foray into NASCAR racing, ya gotta remember that it is not racing its cars but essentially the same car that everybody else is. These cars are purpose built with a tube-frame chassis, and a V8 pushrod motor...nothing like anything they build. In the wonderful world of AMA FX, the bikes are modified street bikes. Your point would be valid if Buell used a spec IL4 in its XBRR. Jim it is not as easy as it looks. The motor must be Toyota. Also if you bought all the parts for a Truck from Roush Racing and put it together, you will still be lucky to qualify even with a quality driver. Even so, as simple as you are implying the task, Toyota has spent at least 5 to 10 million dollars for each of its seven teams per year. So back to my point, even Toyota has lay out the mega bucks to compete in a copy cat series. So what could Buell do with a fraction of that. Go Buell!! |

The XBRR will make its way. These who expected a "come-see-win" show don´t know racing. Sucessfull racing is the result of doing 1000 small small right at the right time. That need experience and to get these experience you need (track)time. Not that I wish not to see Jeremy on the podium... (-: -but for the tracktime the RR project have so far, it stands were a brandnew project mostly stand.... -at the beginning. The show just started... Jens |

Some pictures from Road Atlanta. Having never been to this track before we did not spend a lot of time in the pits on Saturday as we wanted to check the whole place out. But we did find the Buell area in the and saw how much of a team effort racing is, as various suppliers and techs stopped by the Buell Racing tent to pay a visit.
Taking a look at clutch plate wear with the rep from the company that makes them (I'm sorry I forgot the gentleman's name)
The Ohlins Suspension tech stopped by.
Were these guys working or just catching up on the latest on Badweb?
insert caption here. And lets not forget the fans

The BEST hospitality at both VIR & Road Atlanta, and I suspect at every AMA race. With one of the best views on the track.

One of the cool things about waiting for the traffic to clear out on Sunday is that you can walk around the pits and see the riders in a more serene state of mind, and definetly more approachable.
The Bostroms were talking about where they were going to go surfing. Photo by Neil Hogdson.
Neil, hopefully he gets a good ride next year, he will be missed in the AMA.
