Grrr, Don't rub it in Fireman. Yada yada yada yada. I have to get in shape here if I am going and re-commit to the Kung Fu training I am doing, so maybe I can kick some a**! by next year. Gotta be a lean, mean riding machine. Start eating veggies again, too. Daves, For sure count me in. I have no problem riding my bike to Waterloo or any pickup point in between (Sauk Prarie). Also, I think Dyna needs to remove me from his list of 'shame' cause last summer was my first summer up here with a bike. The twisties, forests and roads up here beat the ones in southern Wisconsin by, oh, I'd say... a thousand miles. Dennis, You had better start making plans to come with us or we will never forgive you. Charlotte aka 'Raindance' |

Again should be fun, i will ask one more time, anybody up for mardi gras and daytona, all happens the same week this year, something to think about Roger |

Maybe you can hook a screamin' deal with Daily Direct. It would be a matter of doing some cost analysis. I have their card around here somewhere. I'll have to see what I can find. I think I missed the dates somewhere. First to respond gets the prize |

'All info can be found at www.saltflats.com Planning is scheduled to begin and committee assignments doled out around mid-January. You could have just told me it was Sept. 19-22, 2003. But noooooooooooo! I have to go to a seperate link, then come back here to give you shit Not sure if I'll be able to go. It would be a last minute thing (most likely). They're talking about tearing the old girl down (the hotel). I could be without too much work after Labor Day 2003. At least I already know the S3 will travel 130mph |

DailyDirect web site. Note, their web site is not "dailydirect.com", which puts you on some semi-spam site that loves those automatic-pop-back-up-when-you-close-them friggen windows.

I'm not real sure who's taken the lead in this deal so I'll just tell everyone who's talking about it - I'm very interested in going to Bonneville! I'd be happy to help in any way that I can with any and all that needs to be done, I just really want to go fast. And, actually more importantly, I really want to gain the experience (I just love learning new stuff). |

So how about we get a semi total from the midwest on who wants to go, who wants to drive and who wants to fly and who wants to fly, but have there bike there, again this would be for the wi/il/ia(??waterloo)/mi area, if enuff fly, then maybe we could get a discount, especially since the airlines are kinda in trouble, again not makeing an attempt to over step the Elves team, but i am sure soon enuff they will be very busy trying to break another record, no sence in bothering them with travel plans, just go fast info Roger |

Bomber, I went 120+ at 10,500 feet above sea level. That was when my bike was still stock. What is the elevation at Bonneville? |

The elevation on the Long Course is 4,218 ASL. Bonneville Salt Flats Imagine a place so flat you seem to see the curvature of the planet, so barren not even the simplest life forms can exist. Imagine the passing thunder of strange vehicles hurtling by on a vast dazzling white plain. This is not an alien world far from earth; it is Utah's famous Bonneville Salt Flats. The Bonneville Salt Flats is one of the most unique natural features in Utah. Stretching over 30,000 acres, the Bonneville Salt Flats is a fragile resource administered by the Bureau of Land Management. Thousands of visitors, commercial filmmakers, and of course, high-speed auto racers, make the Bonneville Salt Flats a world famous destination. Since the first speed record attempts in 1914, hundreds of records have been set and broken in a variety of automotive and motorcycle classes. This takes LOTS of planning and once you do it, you are HOOKED. 2003 promises to be a great opportunity to meet MANY Badwebbers from around Planet Earth. In fact, you can even see an Austalian and they are like people from Earth. Court |

Where do people stay when out at the salt? I realize a few have nice campers & mobile homes, but other than that is there a hotel within oh say 200 miles????? How close to Salt lake city? This could be very cool & I dont even care if I got to race on the salt. Just to be out there & involved with the sights & sounds would be enuff for me. |
