Aaron, I assume the connecting flight from Philadelphia to Denver is domestic, so I imagine we will do customs there. Could be wrong though.... Pete |

Jack ... I'd sure bring the air filter along. We messed with this on Dale's Sportster last year. Leaving it open works great on the dyno but it slowed the bike down. Apparently there's a lot of turbulence there, some kind of diffusion seems to be necessary. A velocity stack generally needs to be tuned to the rpm of interest ... different lengths will boost the fill at different rpms. Wave travel and all that. But again, you may find that at the salt, you need diffusion. |

Vik: the others have already mentioned the great experience of meeting and hanging out with fellow Buellers/Badwebbers - that alone makes the trip worth it. Also, if you're even just a little bit of a motorhead, the stuff people there are running will make you go wild; custom, hand built to perfection, just plain awesome to get to see and hear in person. If not now, when are you ever going to make a trip to Bonneville? Rocket who will not be riding the salt in bathing attire (like that other Brit did) or shaved stumps thank you! No Rocket ... Thank you Henrik |

For those of you coming to my place ... I've done an inventory of available sleeping bags and beds. Looks like we can cover the folks who are coming by plane, so you won't have to pack along a sleeping bag or air mattress. If you're traveling by car, and you want to crash here (and of course you're more than welcome), please bring your own sleeping bag and air mattress if possible. We may have one spare is all. |

Josh, What days do you have reserved? I may be interested. My wife saw the Team Elves sheet from my shirt order and said "Brad, you should go to this Elves thing.". I about fell over. I just need to figure out the logistics. Brad |

***I have a room for Wed nite-Sat nite (leave Sun) that I'd rather pass the reservation to a Bueller than cancel (I'm rooming with Henrik). Josh *** Josh, I believe Mark Bernier from the XL-List would use that room to be over on the same side of the street with the rest of us. Right now, he has a room in the "other" casino across the street. If a Bueller doesn't need it, let him know...his email is on the List in the archives for sure. Dale A. |

Josh, After checking a bit more, I can't go!!!! I'm scheduled to play at a special church service on the 22nd (I play trumpet in a brass group). We have rehersal's on Wed and Sat. Kind of kills any possobility of me making it to the flats. I'm seriously bummed. I was thinking the gig date was the following weekend. CRAP!!! No such luck. If you find someone else for the room, let them have it. Have fun everyone. Take lots of pics for all of us unable to attend. Aaron, (and all other racers) ride good, ride fast, ride safe. Most of all, set TONs of records!! Down in the dumps Brad |

You Go Girl! (I mean Jim) Thats a purdy color too. The Sprint has suddenly decided to puke oil at over 100 mph runs so it's off to Triumph to see whats causing it. They seem to think its an ubstructed vent somewhere and highly unusual. We will be bringing the Speed 3 and I'm currently looking for a fly screen to deflect some of the dreaded wind. Cant wait to see every one, Bob |

One more thing of interest.Mike and I were talking to Don Canet at Donner and he was telling us about his attempt at 200 mph on a Busa on the salt last year. He said it was the scariest thing he had done on a Bike. Never being on the salt and not knowing what to expect he soon found that the Bike moves scarely about due to side wind and traction surface. He didn't make the 200 mark and didn't seem to excited about doing it again. There's more proof that these records are more than just twisting the grip! In The Rain Forest, Bob |

Everyone is expecting this event to be out of control. Jose please leave the hamsters at home. I've requested that the SacBORGers do the same! |

SacBORG'ers and Hamsters dont mix. Dont ask me how I know. There's usually a shotgun, catapult or waterballon slingshot involved, and the results are never pretty. On a serious note: Out of control at night is fine, BUT out on the Salt its pretty serious. Not that you cant have fun, but if somehting goes wrong, people can get seriously hurt, riders and spectators. Some of the preparations in the pits are pretty intense. You dont want to distract someone who is working to make sure a 200+mph vehicle is safe. Heck, dont distract me when I'm making sure my 70+mph vehicle is safe. Have fun, but keep in mind why we are there. Keep the crazy stuff under control until you get back to the casino. |
