<<Capt Petey...just imagine you have landed on the moon(that's what it is like)...do you think there would be any trout?>> Couldn't say for sure. Never tried it. But if I can find one biologist who tells me there ain't none, it's a pretty good bet they're right thick up there. <<i'm pretty sure there's only SALTwater fishing allowed at Bonneville, Capt. Pete!>> I like the way you think, FB. Always appreciate a man with a keen sense of the obvious. I'll pack some squid with those trout flies. <<Won't be seeing you this weekend Pete...I'll holler when I'm ready.>> Where've I heard that before? (Still waitin' for just one of 'em to holler.) Thanks for the salt tips. Sounds like 30d nails & a crowbar to get 'em back out. I'll have extras. Capt. Pete |

I think the reson only long course is listed, after most racers left they just used one track. |

So, did you watch the show? Henrik, GREAT editing job on those new videos! Really enjoyed watching them, although I think if I get any more pumped up for this event I'll explode. Thanks Pilk ... too bad the video can't really capture the true sound of this beast. It's pretty amazing. |

Aaron, Court A friend of mine is a pilot and he takes his garmin gps along in case of instrument failure. Sayes it will read at least to 450 mph. You cannot get it to lock on satellites after you are going that fast tho. You need to get a speed lock before starting to move. He thinks all the gps will read to 999. Paul |

>>>>He thinks all the gps will read to 999..... Based on Aaron's current rate of assimilating knowledge and translating it to speed, that should get us through 2009! Court |

Court, I think if we are going after even the 450 mph we had all better start planning. Finding a drop tank from an F-4 should be our first step. Donny can build up any kind of frame we need. All we need is to figure out how to run multiple engines efficiently and we are there. Too cool for comfort. Paul Now you can see how I got the Mad in MadDuck. |

999 huh? Better get Erik to go back to the wind tunnel and work on some new bodywork for us! On that nitrous pass video, I remember when they read off that 182.9 speed, we were in the truck on the way to pick him up. There were high fives all around, we didn't take the news nearly as calmly as whoever made that video! Hopefully someday we'll hear them call out our number followed by a 200mph speed. But it won't be an easy thing to achieve. |

The rest of us that had to ride back to Colorado in the truck with "Aaron the Focussed", were REALLY happy to hear that last pass of 182.9 PPiA |

That bad eh? Sorry. Tell you what though, as much thought and planning and old fashioned hard work that goes into prepping a bike and getting it there and running, it's damn hard not to care about what happens. You gots one shot, you gotta try as hard as you can to get everything out of it. |

(Stepping into the middle...) I read that as "The trip westward was intently focused, the trip eastward was jubilant". I do wish you all the best though, wish I could be there, maybe next year unless something weird and extream happens this year in the next 3-15 days to alter my schedule. Is there a classification for weedwacker powered skateboards? I need to find something within my budget. How about a chainsaw powered gocart with a bubbled-decal Buell gas tank on it? (Okay, I'll go back to work now.) |

3 weeks to go for the 3rd Annual Team Elves Bonneville fling. How much of this would have ever happened at all if there were no Badweb, no online community to foster such wild ideas as taking an out of production Buell, going for land speed records and encouraging otherwise normal Buell riding hooligans to experience the legendary Bonneville salt flats? That'd be a story for Speed Channel if they're gonna be there. With that in mind, I think it would be a neat tribute to this BBS if those who showed up with bikes had BadWeatherBikers.com stickers. Got Badweb? Sparky |

I'd proudly put a small (1.0 - 1.5 square inch ) sticker on my bike (and I hate stickers;I even removed the Buell stickers from my tank) for the Team Elves Reunion. So who's going to organize the sticker thang? Do I smell income opportunity here? Jim, are you going to ride your S-2 to Bonneville? Would you mind a tag along? -Nykk |

Nykk,if your talking to me,the answer is a resounding no.I rode the last 2 years, but the S-2 is not remotely street legal at this point so a trailerin' we will go. |

Henrik - You have mail. Although I was planning on attending this year it looks like I'll be a no show. Work pulled some interesting surprises on me. I'm really bummed 'cause I was really looking forward to meeting everyone. There is a small chance that things will change but as it stands now very big things hinge on the work I've gotta get done this month. -Saro |
