Author Message   Sanjuro Posted on Monday, March 01, 2021 - 09:50 pm:        My Buelltooth arriving in the mail, I paired with with the ECMDroid, hit the TPS reset and now, it won't start. All I hear are rapid clicking noises. Mine's a 2007. I did let it warm up to temperature, backed out the idle adjustment (performed reset), and turned the screw back out a full turn. It chugged a couple times then nothing. Suggestions? Also, is "TPD" the correct value in Data Channels menu to show me the throttle position? It's staying at zero no matter how much I turn the adjustment screw. Thanks in advance for your advice gents. It sounds like bad ground or bad connection between the seat subframe and the motorcycle frame. Here is TPS reset for pre 2008 XB I do not know how that adjustment screw should affect Throttle Position Degree (TPD channel in the ECM Droid), but if you paired the ECM Droid and it is online (the kill switch on motorcycle is ON and the Bluetooth dongle is paired with the ECM droid and online) it should show throttle position angle. When you twist the throttle the TPD should change the value. In the video above he uses ECMspy and he blips the throttle to verify the connection and you can see the TPS in the program reflects the throttle blipping. You should be able to see the throttle position value is changing in the ECMDroid when you twist the throttle if the device is connected. I had it on the Battery Tender all winter, but my guess was running the active fan test depleted it. Hooked it up to the NOCO GENIUS, let it charge, and it fired up. Buelltooth, I'll have to say that the connection isn't all that stable using the phone app. But I'll need to play around with it. ESPECIALLY if it gets below freezing during your winters. A friend gave me the great idea to put in on a lamp timer. 8hs a day is plenty for a .5aH tender top off a bike that has even a significant parasitic draw. Better batteries take abuse better as well. Spend $50 every year or $100 every 4 years....
