I know its been covered in depth, but cant find it.
Can someone tell me the trick to get my low beam to come on when my high beam comes on? Seems like so much better of an idea to kick them both on.

Two ways. You can swap the European parking light wire with the low beam wire at the connector to the light itself. However, this means your low beam will be on a different fuse and won't turn off during starting like it does now. The other way is to take apart the handlebar switch housing and solder a jumper across the wires to keep the low beam on at all times. This is the preferred way even though it's more time consuming. There is one more way that some use and that's getting the high/low switch to stick in the middle and keep both on. Never worked for me though.

I found one of the threads showing how to do it. This is the best way IMO and isn't as hard as it sounds.

I had to replace the headlamp connector, as a PO had boogered up (the technical term) the bike side.

Since I couldn't figure out what sort of pin they use, nor how to extract them, I just cut them off and wired in a Metripak connector. It's twice the size, but it works.

I did the parking lamp swap (white/orange and yellow wire).

I did the park light swap years ago. After that, I changed to HID...which required the installation of a pushbutton kill switch on the light, for starting. Starting the engine would douse the headlight and it wouldn't re-strike so now I kill the headlight before I turn the bike off every time. Then the next time I start the bike, once its running I hit the button for the headlight.

I connected high to low beam with a diode. Works great! I don't remember the details.
