Does anyone know if a replacement lens is available? The cluster 'assembly' is Y0500.3AK. Mine is rather 'sunburned', and a PO managed to decorate it with black overspray. |

Can it be sanded down like a clear headlight then painted with clear coat? |

I have a couple complete clusters for sale cheap.. One has a blue digital voltmeter, the other has a blue display that has a voltmeter, timer, clock, and temp (C*)

I don't think lenses are separate. They have a weather-seal built into them, attaching them to the housing. Best bet is to find a cluster - you can swap the cases so you don't lose your odometer reading if you want. You can try one of the headlight restore kits. I have one that I use, that's basically a water bottle (for lubricant) and three 2-sided pieces of sandpaper, in varying coarseness, ending with a super-fine grit. They work for headlights to get the yellow and haze off, but not sure if they'd be "optically clear" enough for a gauge face. Get a spare shell first, so if it doesn't work you can just swap shells. |
