Livewire uses a fixed idler pulley to maintain constant tension on the drive belt. The pulley is mounted on an eccentric hub, so it is adjustable. The lower belt guard has a tension gauge molded in. I'll get a photo this afternoon or tomorrow. |

Mark, Would you put up a pic or two of the adjuster part? |

It's easily seen in the second photo. The bolt holding the idler to the frame is off-center. There is hole for a hex wrench off to the right side. Insert a hex key into the hole and loosen the retaining bolt. Use the hex key to rotate the idller "up" to tighten the belt or down to loosen. The swingarm does appear to have a removable section which would allow belt removal. It's a pretty nice bike. Quick. Really quick. Probably handles well too but our test route was in the city and had no curves. |

Thanks, I was not looking at the whole pic. That is pretty cool. |

Here's the parts book illustration for a better view of the belt routing.

Looks like the swingarm pivot shaft has its own stationary idler pulley mounted on it to redirect the belt upward and then the adjustable tensioner pulley below it. |

What are the odds that bit will fit the Uly's? |

I bet it weighs more than the Uly idler. |

Have they started manufacturing the LiveWire again? |

The Livewire idler is supported from the back only. It is not in a forked mount. The ones that were in were demos, when we get them in stock I will have to take some measurements. |

They probably don't have to be as strong with the electric motor's regenerative braking vs the 1200cc lumpy characteristics. Notice also that the top side idler is pretty substantial in comparison. |
