My 06 Uly with just over 57k on it. Needing an exhaust header. Probably with gaskets, retaining rings, and O2 sensor. (The replacement header, if used, probably will come with the gaskets and retaining rings on it.) The O2 sensor boss in header completely broke off. Lots of noise and felt the heat on my right inner thigh. I was doing my normal 80mph to work when this occurred. In parts catalog... pages 78-79 item 11 - S0101.1AAA Header, 1ea item 2 - 65325-83A Retaining rings, 2ea item 1 - 65234-83A Gasket, 2ea page 94-95 item 25 - S0130.02A8, O2 sensor, 1ea I looked through the parts for sale section but didn't see what I needed. Help please. I really don't want to go to HD for these things... Thx, Steve(snojet) ph 909-994-9583 p.s. posted this in the parts section of this site too

I saw some people reported about same failure on BuellXB.com forum. Somebody recommended to weld it back with stainless steel. Google it and maybe you can find that post with welding recommendation and details. If you want to buy new header you probably don't need new retaining rings, just new exhaust gaskets and headers. Lots or people out there with TIG rigs nowadays. You should look around your place for welding shops. Wicked easy to weld that now that it's off of the bike. And no, I have not seen the bung pop right out before. I've seen cracks form at the join between the headers and the collector though. |

I concur. I've had cracked pipes welded with stainless by a pipe fitter. It never cracked there again. |

Make sure the inside is filled with shielding gas when they weld it, and the ends of the cracks are drilled. I had a muffler crack at the inlet. |

Thank you all for your input/advice/suggestions! After some thought and an opinion of a former welder I decided to replace the header with a new one and the same with the O2 sensor. I found one at St Paul HD. Looking forward to riding again. |
