My taillight is only coming on now when the key is wiggled JUST RIGHT. Anyone know where I can get a replacement? |

Is it just the taillight that's affected? I'd hunt for the loose wire first... |

You might be able to take it apart and clean up the contacts. The electronics are screwed onto the back of the switch.
If you remove these two screws you can take off the electrical part. I took it apart and cleaned up everything and put some dielectric grease on the contacts and reassembled. No problems since. |

This old post of mine might help with getting the electrical part removed & cleaned. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/466128.html?1245416650 |

I’m doubtful that the contacts are the culprit. There’s never been a solid feel to the switch. In comparison, my SS feels precise when I turn the key to run, off, or park. The Uly switch just feels mushy. I bought the bike with 20k, on it, so it’s possible that it was jimmied or damaged at some point. Keep those ideas coming. . |

I had the tail light issue develop at about 40k miles. Cleaning the electrical side remedied the problem. |

Sounds like cleaning it is the ticket. I'll give it a shot. |
