IIRC there was a post indicating that Firebolt pegs won't fit on a Uly because the pivot pin is a different size. Can anyone confirm?

Confirmed, but I don't think it's the pin, I think it's the actual peg. I put Uly pegs on my CR for the 1" drop, because XB pegs don't fit - I want to say the XB peg itself is too wide to fit between the tabs on the Ulysses frame.

If you want Firebolt pegs, you appear to want to get rid of the 1" drop. You can use 1125 pegs to accomplish that.

Thanks Ratbuell. that's right, I remember reading about the 1125 pegs. I ordered a set of aftermarket ones off ebay but the pin size was wrong. Maybe best to check with St. Paul HD and order factory parts from there.

Hold up, I put 1125 pegs on my uly last year and had to file them down significantly to make them work. They are great to get rid of the drop, but they do require modification to work.

Interesting. I've had Uly pegs on my CR for years and they went right on, no gaps, no filing. Do you have the spacers in the right locations? Washers? I can't imagine why they'll fit one way (Uly to CR) but not the other way (CR to Uly). I'll have to pull the CR pegs off the shelf and take some measurements compared to Uly pegs...

Here's my 1125CR with (unmodified) Uly pegs on it. BIG gap!

Hunh.

Guess I shoulda looked. I have the same gap with my Uly pegged CR.

I don't own any other XBs, so I can't compare...sorry. I just remembered putting the Uly pegs on my CR the day I took it home in '09 (and at my age, I'm lucky I remember THAT much!)...and riding it happily for the last decade.
