This question is for folks who have operated a Uly in Europe:

I am considering shipping my 09 Uly XTP to Germany and keeping it stored there for use as a run-around the Alps bike.

It is fairly sorted out with a 2010 rear wheel, new clutch and belt, and a powder coated exhaust.

What I'm concerned about is finding available repairs over there, if something major popped up.

Thanks in advance for your time responding.

The site works really well if you want to find a specific part, but might give you the wrong idea in some other areas. I've tried to convince them a few times to hire me to fix some of the writing on the site. Sadly, I still haven't been able to (convince them that is).

In terms of Buell (and HD) service though, they're the best in the world. Of that, I am certain. Their main mechanic / co-founder, Martin, is a wizard and my personal hero.

They also have almost every part you can think of. If there are no longer replacements parts available for critical components, they find new suppliers to manufacture their own.

They're also just altogether great guys. It's a fun place to go. Highly recommended.

Thanks very much. It sounds like there is good support for these bikes "over there."

I appreciate the info. and recommendation.

Hi Bob.
Dont be concern, there are a lot of Buells running in Germany or Europe and enough shops and Harley dealers to get parts or support. But, and this happens to me all the time, the XBX is rather rare here and you will have a lot of attention :-). In the Alps you will notice that about 95% of the Bikes are BMW GS.
I just drove mine 2000mls around south of Spain without any Problems and with a lot of fun.
Enjoy!
