Understandably, this being an internet forum, many of the times people come here it's because of a problem. Today, I just want to say how much I completely and utterly love my Uly! I'm fortunate enough to have 3 bikes, and the Uly doesn't get out as much as it did when it was my one and only, but every time I take it out I'm reminded what a uniquely superb handling machine this is. The engine has its problems (been trying to get to the bottom of an intermittent air/fuel issue that sometimes causes splutters, stuck high revs, hesitancy, but even with all that I've truly ridden nothing that handles like a Uly. Just so much damn fun! The speed of the steering and the ease with which it tips-in is just crazy. One of my other bikes is an EBR, and truthfully the Uly kicks its butt in the handling department on the endless twisting roads on the California coast. Long live the Uly, and if there are any skilled Buell mechanics in the Bay Area, please reply here. I've got some work for you. |

Are you on Facebook? Check out the NorCal Buell&EBR group https://m.facebook.com/groups/297805197313575 Dean Hodel is in the Fremont area and he’s probably the most knowledgeable in the area |

I share your impressions regarding the Uly... and the same rideability issues. I've pretty much solved those issues by replacing the intake seals and more importantly installing an AF-XIED. Used these on my BMWs with great success and on a whim tried it on the Uly. Took care of all the symptoms of lean running. Plenty of info on the net... worth looking into. |
