Author Message   Kickastro Posted on Monday, July 30, 2018 - 02:13 pm:        Hello, I just had catastrophic failure of my 2009 rear wheel bearing and after reading about the mass failures of these bearings, I am interested in upgrading to a 2010 3 bearing design. Where can I find one of these wheels with the bearings installed please? Also, I rode with the failed bearings for several miles after they failed. What other damage should I be prepared for such as the axel etc? The treacherous old pile blew up the left hand bearing 44 miles from home and finished the daily commute on the back of a flat bed. Just me, guessing out loud... That might well be the case. OTOH, I installed a new rear sprocket on my Uly today (the original was looking a little chewed up after 60,000 miles). The manufactured date on the box was sometime in 2017.
