Hello, I just had catastrophic failure of my 2009 rear wheel bearing and after reading about the mass failures of these bearings, I am interested in upgrading to a 2010 3 bearing design. Where can I find one of these wheels with the bearings installed please? Also, I rode with the failed bearings for several miles after they failed. What other damage should I be prepared for such as the axel etc? With Appreciation, KickAstro in Santa Barbara |

https://st-paul-harley-davidson-buell.myshopify.co m/products/copy-of-g1309-02a8ybr-genuine-buell-rea r-translucent-amber-wheel-fits-all-xbs-1125s-model s The replacement wheel comes with a different axle, so don't worry about that. Only other thing to look for damage would be the swingarm. (Message edited by Froggy on July 30, 2018) |

Thank you Froggy! I just ordered the wheel from Lance. What a helpful guy. Cheers! |

If the bearing was blown out and you rode on it fast or for a long time, make sure the rotor didn't overheat by being sideways in the caliper and dragging. |

Check your belt and pulley for the same reason. |

It’s amazing to me they’re still making these wheels. I wonder what percentage of the Ulys built have been refitted at this point? |

It’s amazing to me they’re still making these wheels. I'd wager that there aren't any more being made, and what is available is all that is left. Just me, guessing out loud... |

I could have used one today. The treacherous old pile blew up the left hand bearing 44 miles from home and finished the daily commute on the back of a flat bed. The SKF bearing felt fine a few thousand miles ago when the rear tire was changed, too. |

I'd wager that there aren't any more being made, and what is available is all that is left. Just me, guessing out loud... That might well be the case. OTOH, I installed a new rear sprocket on my Uly today (the original was looking a little chewed up after 60,000 miles). The manufactured date on the box was sometime in 2017. |
