I'm so confused. Is this an sx with uly things stuck on it? What's the deal with the front windscreen? |

I'm sure the guy put a bunch of work into that bike. I'd wager it would blow the doors off all other ULYs even if it isn't one. I always thought a fuel cell in place of the back seat would be a good idea. Almost looks like that is what he's done. |

It may not suck but I agree with Njloco, that is just plain ugly... I would never ride something that looks like that. |

I am planning something similar for my SX. This will definitely make me think the mods through carefully. Lower footpegs? Yes. Panniers? Yes, but with cleaner mounting. Brushguards over the grips? Probably not. Windshield? Yes, but much smaller and tighter to the cluster at the bottom. Seat padded a little better. Yes. (His is a LOT more padding. Taller bars? Yes. He's obviously put a lot of work in, and he's happy with it, which really is what counts. Gotta be nice to be able to punch up to 140 or so real quick and leave trouble behind when someone is getting stupid on the freeway. Not being able to do so was my only issue with my Uly, which I still have and love. |

If Buell would slap a few Uly suspension parts on an SX he would have an African twin killer but here we are years later and nothing! I love the new bike he rolled out with but I'm afraid Buell will go out of business again. I'm already having a hard time getting parts for my other Buells and frankly he really left us hanging since American sport bike went under. Rant off.. |

I had a hard time getting the front rotor fastener but I eventually found them on eBay. We all know Lance and I just got to know him this year and he has been a very good source for my XB. My 2002 cyclone needed an ECM. No one could get it. Once again eBay eventually came thru with a used one. I use an S2 fairing on my tuber and I purposely stocked up on body parts and I'm taking extra care with my windshields because I've been noticing vendors are dropping the Buell name in their listings. Listen, I love the brand. I read your book Court. I own 3, an XB12, Cyclone and a Blast but I think we can all admit , since American sport bike went under Lance is the only guy who can the not so common parts. He just came thru for me on a Thrust Blue wind screen. It's been on back order for awhile and I do not have it in my hands but I'm hopefully. I got some good advise on a voltage regulator today, as that seemed to be hard to find. I can also remember on many occasions engine mounts being on back order for tubers. I can go on but my point is Buell should have all wear items available. Although a windscreen isn't necessarily a wear item, it does take a beating , just like a windshield. I hope I'm not sounding to unreasonable and I'm just being honest. I love the new bike and if it was in a Ulyesses version, I would be extremely tempted to sell a few bikes and raid my bank account. |

Well I can see it. If I could get back to putting some serious miles on the Uly, you know.....to actually wear it out, and the factory was still not building a replacement.....why not? I did the same thing to a Blast several years ago and it is still going strong. |
