Advice please So I'm probably going to be selling my Uly. '09 XT with quite a few add-ons and no issues with 23k miles. Problem is, I'm stationed in Germany. Anyone know how to value the bike to sell over here? Anyone here from Germany? Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks! (Message edited by Ulysapper on October 02, 2016) |

You can make an search on mobile.de website. I did a quick search, an stock xb12xt, from 2008 or 2009, it's valued at more than 7000E. I don't know how are Buell motorcycle appreciated in Germany, but judging from the high prices i think they are. |

Yeah, I think Buells are a bit more expensive in Germany than in the rest of Europe. Which is good for you. Considering you have one of the improved engine Buells (post '08). I'd say 7 sounds about right for that kind of mileage. I would however remove all the extra's, and sell them separately. That way, you can ask a lot more for the add ons from people that actually want them and sell the bike as stock as possible, which is a huge plus for the people actually looking at the bike itself. My 2 cents. |

There's a guy who frequents the UK Buell site that buys Buells from the UK to sell in Germany but Ulys are less popular than Lightnings and Firebolts. He would be picking up bikes at UK prices and you'd be doing well to get £4k (€4.6) here for your bike - particularly at this time of year. I put my Firebolt on eBay a few years ago and got very good money from a chap in Berlin. I'd put the bike with some good quality pics and description on eBay with a reserve. |

By the way . . . both those sites have been around for a long time and are very well respected. You will be able to get very sound and meaningful advice from both of them. If you encounter a snag . . . ask here and we can get you pointed in the right direction. |

Court, good to know. Thanks. In the military, and it's so much different to do this type of thing in Europe. Appreciate the advice. |

Court, they think I'm a fake on xborgforum...understadable because I jump right on trying to sell my bike. I'll refer them to my profile on this page and hopefully they'll reconsider. |

I did warn you about the price! If your first post on a forum is to advertise a bike for sale for double the market price you shouldn't be surprised if people think you're taking the piss. |
