Every problem has already happened and you just need to search past posts. And have you seen Bad Weather Bikers on Facebook. Or the Ulysses owners group on facebook. Sometimes you have to send them here to get good info. | ||

I'm on here everyday but don't post much because I've been busy with parting out wrecked bikes or working on client bikes, both part time to my full time job as an HD mechanic. I'm on the Facebook groups several times a day though and post from time to time there. | ||

Let's see, my 07X is now mostly an XT:  Hell, it's close to being a "Johnny Cash" Uly since it's an 07 XB12X frame with an 09 XB12R engine and 09 XB12X wiring harness, 08XT rear shock and kickstand, 09XT front forks, 04S front fender, 2010 rear wheel, 06 XB12X low seat, and EBR front disk. | ||

Nice. I guess a similar transformation has started on my XB12X as the rear wheel was ruined by a botched bearing change. It now has the orange wheel of a Firebolt (after those pictures were taken), which actually goes rather well with the orange plastics. Think I'll do the front wheel as well. | ||

Yeah, it's a very nice looking exhaust. Designed by Twin Motorcycles here in the Netherlands, built by Bos I think (also a Dutch company). Only downside is that it can no longer function as a jacking support point. But I don't think there's any after market exhausts that retain that functionality. | ||

I took mine apart and put it back together for you and even took a couple of pictures. That's my contribution for the month. Now I just need new tires and wheel bearings and it's back to the break in. My Triumph Sprint ST has been draining my mad money lately as it screws up in one novel fashion after another. You think Buells can be aggravating, HA! | ||

The truth is the poor Uly has been sitting most of the Summer. Ever since I finally figured out what was wrong with my Harley, after 2 years, I've been riding the crap out of it. It's just so nice to finally have it running right! But don't worry, I'm about to prep the Uly for another Colorado trip in September. My brother and I are going to finish our vacation we started last year when I shattered my heal and ruined the Colorado part of the trip! | ||

@Dan_m: hah! Right on the money. The guy I bought it from last year was actually a KTM man. His wife had a KTM 1190 adventure something or other and the reason he sold the Uly is because he couldn't keep up with her, which I guess I understand. Even as far as Buells go, the Uly is not very fast. But yeah, he did fit it with those KTM mirrors before he sold it. (Message edited by falloutnl on August 24, 2016) | ||
