I have a 2007 Uly and found a 2008 Uly service manual today. Are the wheel torque specs about the same (Axle, pinch bolts, caliper carrier bolts)? |

If anyone with a 2007 Uly service manual can verify for me. That would be very cool: Rear axle to 23-27 ft-lbs, back off two full turns and then retighten to 48- 52 ft-lbs. -Rear axle pinch fastener to 40-45 ft-lbs. -Rear brake caliper carrier and tighten fastener to 24-26 ft-lbs Thx |

You are good to go! Those specs are the same for all XB's according to my 2005 SM. Same specs as my '06 Uly which is the same as your '07. |

Don't over torque the oil drain plugs or the muffler straps. Muffler strap torque is in lb/in; if you use lb/ft it will crush the muffler. Don't as me how I know... The specified drain plug torque is like 30lb/ft. There have been many, here over the years, that have pulled the threads out of the swing arm. I torque primary and engine drain plugs to 12lb/ft. Also use the recommended thread sealant per the manual, too. |

Virtually every torque spec is identical regardless of year. The books did increase/decrease a few of the specs over the years to compensate for lessons learned. Crankshaft nut increased, and drainplug decreased off the top of my head. |

You got a drain plug on top of your head? What is that for? Fast over growing gray matter I suppose |
