Yesterday as I was leaving work, I started my Uly and she would not idle. It would surge from 500 RPM to 1500 RPM. Running rough and sounding like it would stall. I let it idle like this for a couple minutes to warm up and then hopped on to leave. Before I got to the end of the parking lot I noticed the low fuel light came on. I drove about 15 miles before I decided to fuel up. (Closest service station to me that has non-ethanol fuel) I filled the bike up went into the service station to pay and wound up standing there for about 10 minutes talking to a guy I graduated high-school with. When I jump back on the bike she fired right up and ran normal. This is the second time this has happened to me. Both times bike was low on fuel. Does this sound like a fuel pump that is starting to go? I know the fuel pump needs fuel to keep it cool and it was a hot day yesterday but it doesn't seem quite right. What are your thoughts? |

Could have just been a fouled plug also. Did you do a "half start" or a very short run since it was last good and hot? |

Plugs are only 500 miles old. I don't do much city riding, I live in a rural area, everywhere I need to go is at least 10min away. O2 sensor? |
