My fuel pump has started to acting up causing engine missing and blowing fuses. I go on EBay and see fuel pumps from $30 to over $300 so why the huge price difference and how difficult are they to change? |

The dealer confirmed it today, my fuel pump is shot so I'm having them change it. $600.00 |

They aren't hard to remove/replace. A lot of Ulys had problems with chaffed wires on the fuel pump. Yours, blowing fuses, may have just been chaffed wires. Wish I had responded sooner. |

What you're getting from the dealer is a fuel pump "assembly", which includes the actual fuel pump, plus accessories, plus the aluminum casting that fits into the frame. The $30 units on eBay are just the fuel pump itself, which is apparently the same as an offf-the-shelf fuel pump used in several vehicle models. You pull the assembly from the frame, change out the pump, and reinstall the assembly. |

Mine had three wires rubbed through. It started being stupid by activating the Low Fuel lamp all of the time. Took the unit out, covered the wires with heat shrink and moved them to where they could not rub anymore. The rear swing arm does not need to be removed, as per the book. Remove bottom shock bolt, jack up the bike and it will screw right out of there. |

I have the dealer doing mine. Putting in the whole new fuel pump wit labor for $607.00. I decided that I didn't want to mess with it. I don't have a way to lift my bike off the ground |

I need the non pump part of a fuel pump (the casting part) if you can get the broken one back from them. I don't need the fuel pump part. I was checking for chafing on my 07 Uly and I cracked one on of the little ears putting it back together using o-rings that were too big. Not sure what it's worth, working pulls aren't expensive on Ebay. |
