Got the Uly registered today in Cali. Rode to the office and love the new feel of this bike. It is so much a better fit for my taller frame than the shorter S2 or the X1. Love it! |

Far as I'm concerned, you stole that bike. It is a beauty. Green with envy. |

Congrats! Prices on these bikes are stupid low right now. The market is what it is, but when you hand somebody $3000 to $6000 for a Ulysses, you end up with a crazy good bike for the money. |

I feel it was a fair deal for a bike that should last a loooong time. Bring on the zombie apocalypse! |

Very cool indeed! Noticed the lower cover around the muffler is gone. Is that not on the XT models? |

No, Jon. It's included. The seller removed it when he put the aftermarket muffler on. I bought the bike in S.C. and rode it back to Racine, WI. He's shipping me the original windshield, muffler, and lower fairing. |

Oh, cool. Gotta say after a few rides on my new (to me) Uly that it is a much better fit for me than the S2 or X1. I feel better on the bike. I could probably ride this thing anywhere. |

Lovin' mine! After a 28 year hiatus from riding, I picked it up and rode through the Smokies giggling like a schoolgirl. Can't remember why I ever stopped. This bike handles as good or better than my eighties Japanese sportbikes, but has room. |

Forget the 80's sportbikes, the XT handles as well as many of the current sportbikes. The smokies and a Buell do lead to a lot of giggling. |

Reepicheep, I put a pair of Michelin Pilot Road 4's on trying to get home from northern Indiana after I bought it. Last weekend I went out looking for some twistees (rare in WI). I started giggling all over again when I touched a peg down. Wow! |

When you tip it into a turn, does it hold the line naturally? Or do you have to maintain a little pressure on the bars to hold the turn and keep it from straightening back up again. I just got an XT with Pirelli Angels on it. I've always used the Pilot Roads. I notice that this XT will just hold a line through a turn with pretty much no input to the bars, which is different from what I was used too with my XB12X and Pilot Roads. I like it, but I'm wondering if it is the bike, the tire, or both. |

Had a nice ride today with the Missus perched on the back. More comfy for her than my BMW R1100RT. More torque, easier to handle as well. This Uly is my best Buell yet. I'm so glad I have an XB. And apparently the 2010 12XBX is not that common, so I really feel fortunate. |

Fortunate indeed, such a beastly man with the loyalty and affections of a pretty lady. Please stop stating the obvious. In that we're on par. I do envy your twin O2 sensors. |

Greetings, your Blakeness. And may I say that Blake Lives Matter? Indeed. Can't praise this bike too much. And I wouldn't have assumed it, but the Uly handles really well, even when fully loaded. I'm wondering if anyone has done a serious and epic journey on one ala Long Way Around. |

Reepicheep, I'll have to focus on it next ride. It just does what I tell it, so I honestly haven't given it any further thought. (Recall that I'm back aboard after 28 years.) Loved the thread from your purchase of the XT, btw. Great read. |

Reepicheep. It stays put. The seller told me he lowered the rear slightly, so that has to be factored in as well. Funny that I had originally intended to put the Angels on it when I got it home. (I was always partial to Pirelli when I rode in the 80's) I discovered a slight vibration after midnight in Indiana that was coming from an 18 inch patch of belt showing in the rear tire. The next morning, the only place nearby that could help gave me a choice of Shinto or Pilots. Replaced front and rear with Pilots, and love them so far. |
