I have narrowed the issue of the Neutral like flickering. The contacts in the fuse block are loose in the diode slot of the fuse block. I can not get at them from the top. Does anyone know an easy way to open up the fuse block without destroying what is in there...? I just need to get the contacts back in place and tightened up. I would appreciate any help I am stumped. | ||

I've had the fuse block in my hands before, but I don't remember any details of if/how it could be disassembled. It's a little tricky to remove from the sub-frame; you use a screwdriver to release the tabs on the left side and pull the whole thing straight up. Once it's out, you can see if there's a seam in the housing that would let you separate it to get at the "innards". Alternatively, you could figure out which two leads go to the diode, cut them off ahead of the fuse box, and add a separate external fuse holder to mount the diode. | ||

Hey everyone.... good news. I got everything up and going. Thank you Hugh, those two tabs with a wiggle gets the fuse block up. On the underneath is a little shield with tabs. Once you open that it is a sea of wires. I decided to first attempt to take a small screw drive and push the terminals back up. That fixed the neutral light flicker but did not get the diode to stay in place. a little bend of each prong of the diode and a wiggle and it is in there tight. Test drive tomorrow to work.... | ||

One thing I've learned on fuses or diodes is to actually TWIST the posts a bit, so they grab better. Something like this: / \ Or like this / / instead of this | | Makes them "wider" to the socket. | ||

Ratbuell, I did that to all of mine as well. Hope it snugs them in, cause they like to flop around a bit. Just don't do it too much. Cause that is how I knocked one of the connectors loose. |
