please don't shoot me lol.... So now that my 06X is running like a raped ape and fully legal again it is time for new skins.... I would appreciate yalls thoughts on a solid streetable tire that wont pucker my butthole when the pavement ends. I have a set of pilot road 3's on my 08XT which I love on the street but not so much on a dirt road, let alone a two-track or fire trail. thinking about the conti trail attack 2's but would appreciate any input to be had before I jump. thx to all. | ||

I am riding on Conti Trail Attack2 and I like them. I bought them mainly because of the price tho. | ||

I had Pirelli Scorpion Trails and really liked how they handled the rain and asphalt. They surprised me on hard pack but were lacking in mud, sand or slippery stuff. I had them on some single track woods stuff and they did better than I expected but I was wishing for more of a knobby. I now have Dunlop 616s on it. Haven't got too many miles on them so can't really give a good rundown. Had Tkc80s on the Ktm and they really surprised me on asphalt but wore out the rear in under 2 k, wrist problem. Had them in a variety of sand, mud, rock gravel and hard pack. Handled most situations well. | ||

will a 190/50r17 fit the rear?? I should think it would be close to the 180/55r17 but might be a bit wide?? | ||

running a pr2 190/50/17 now. Can't tell any difference. Fits fine. | ||
